Abstract

본 발명은, 환자 체내에서 이동하는 동안 환자에 대한 외상을 실제로 감소시키는 수정된 말단부를 기지는 카테테르에 관한 것이다. 말단부는, 이동중 자극없이 적절한 조절을 제공하도록 특정 범위의 길이로 된 매우 유연한 팁을 지닌다. 더욱이, 매우 유연한 팁은 둥근 전방 단부를 지녀 환자 체내로 삽입하기 위한 어떠한 예리한 에지를 제거한다. 본 발명은, 카테테르 본체와 유연한 팁이 분리 성형되고 매우 유연한 쇼어 A경도 범위로 형성되며, 2개의 부분이 용융되는 범위를 최소화시키는 RF 접합에 의한 용융 접합 기술로 함께 접합됨으로써 접합부에서의 표면 결점을 최소화시켜 자극을 감소시키는 특정 방법을 포함한다. 팁의 둥근 전방 또는 말단부는 그같은 목적을 위해 접합전 또는 후에 주형내로 삽입되어 성형될 수 있다.

Claims (1)

  1. 폴리우레탄으로 구성된 긴 카테테르(catheter) 본체, 상기 카테테르 본체의 길이를 통해 연장하는 카테테르 본체 루멘, 상기 긴 카테테르 본체보다 작은 쇼어 A 경도를 지니는 폴리우레탄으로 형성되며 상기 카테테르 본체의 말단부에 점착되는 카테테르 팁, 상기 카테테르 팁을 통해 연장되며 상기 긴 카테테르 본체 루멘과 흐름 연통하는 루멘, 및 환자의 체내로 상기 카테테르를 삽입 및 이동시키기 위한 둥근(rounded) 표면을 지니는 상기 카테테르 팁의 말단부를 포함하는 카테테르.
