제1도는 밀봉된 니켈전극을 포함한 전기화학 장치의 용기내에 설치된 것으로서 본 발명의 권취형 전극어셈블리의 일실시예에 대한 단면도이다. 제2도는 밀봉된 니켈전극을 포함한 전기화학장치의 용기내에 설치된 본 발명의 권취형 전극의 다른 실시예에 대한 단면도이다. 제3도는 밀봉된 니켈-카드뮴셀에 대하여 본 발명의 권취형 전극 어셈블리에 의해 얻어지는 증가된 전기화학셀 용량을 나타내는 그래프이다.
Claims (14)
- 니켈 양극전극, 전기전동성기판 및 상기 기판의 적어도 일표면에 고착된 전기화학적 활성재로 이루어진 페이스트 음극 카운터전극, 양극전극과 음극전극 사이에 개재된 분리기, 및 전해질을 구비한 밀봉된 재충전 가능한 전기 화학셀에 있어서, 페이스트 음극전극의 전기전도 기판이 실질적으로 무공성이고, 이로써 셀의 충전시 니켈 전극의 정상적인 팽창 성향이 방해되는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 화학셀.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 기판은 무공성 시트인것을 특징으로 하는 전기화학셀.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 시트는 전기화학적 활성재와 기판사이의 접착을 강화시키는 수단을 그 표면상에 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기화학셀.
- 제1항에 있어서, 셀 요소들을 장착하기 위한 다부품 용기를 아울러 구비하는데, 상기 용기의 한 부품은 셀의 음극단자로서 작용하고, 상기 음극 전극의 무공성 기판의 단부는 그 표면상에 상기 전기화학적 활성재가 거의 없으며 상기 음극 셀 단자로서 작용하는 상기 용기의 부품과 전기 접촉되는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기화학셀.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 용기는 원통상이고 전극 및 분리기는 나선형으로 권취되며 외측 음극전극의 무공성 기판은 용기와 접촉되는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기화학셀.
- 제1항에 있어서, 페이스트 음극전극의 전기 전도성 기판은 가로치수가 그 기판 표면으로부터 니켈 양극전극의 인접표면까지의 거리의 약 20% 이하인 미세공들을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기화학셀.
- 제1항에 있어서, 페이스트 음극전극의 전기전도성 기판은 가로치수가 그 기판 표면으로부터 니켈 양극전극의 인접표면까지의 거리의 약 100% 이하인 미세공들을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기화학셀.
- 제1항에 있어서, 음극 카운터 전극은 카드뮴인 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 화학셀.
- 제8항에 있어서, 음극카운터 전극은 아연인것을 특징으로하는 전기 화학셀.
- 제8항에 있어서, 음극 카운터 전극은 수소인 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 화학셀.
- 제8항에 있어서, 음극 카운터 전극은 금속 수소화물인 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 화학셀.
- 재충전 가능한 니켈 전극을 포함한 전기 화학셀에서 사용되는 음극전극 플레이트 제조 방법에 있어서, 적어도 그 일부분이 무공성인 전기전도성 스트립기판을 코팅수단을 통하여 전진시키는 단계와; 스트립의 2개의 대향되는 주 표면이 그 스트립의 제1가로부를 따라 페이스트를 지탱하고 상기 주표면의 오직 하나만이 상기 스트립의 제2가로부를 따라 스페이스트를 지탱하여 베이스 기판부를 형성하도록 상기 전진하는 스트립상에 전기 화학적 활성제와 첨가물의 페이스트 혼합물을 선택적으로 도포하는 단계와; 각각의 성분 스트립의 베이스 기판부가 전기화학셀의 단자에 전기접촉되도록 형성되는, 전극으로써 적합한 복수의 성분 스트립으로 상기 페이스트 스트립을 교차 절단하는 단계와; 상기 성분 스트립으로 부터 첨가물을 제거하는 단계를 포함한 것을 특징으로 하는 음극전극 플레이트 제조 방법.
- 제12항에 있어서, 상기 벗겨진 기판부는 무공성인 것을 특징으로 하는 음극전극 플레이트 제조방법.
- 제12항에 있어서, 상기 벗겨진 기판은 무공성의 금속제 시트인 것을 특징으로 하는 음극전극 플레이트 제조방법.※ 참고사항 : 최초출원 내용에 의하여 공개하는 것임.
