Claims (6)
- 피스톤 헤드(12)와, 실린더와 결합하도록 채용된 외부 표면을 포함하고 상기피스톤 헤드(12)와 일체로 되어 있고 그것으로부터 현수된 피스톤 스커트(14)를 구비한 내연기관의 실린더내에서 왕복하기 위한 형식의 피스톤 조립체에 있어서, 실린더 벽을 결합하는 계곡(26)에 의해 분리된 복수의 뽀족한 리지(24)를 구비한 표면 피니시를 가진 피스톤 스커트(14)가 약 0.001 내지 약 0.00018㎜ 사이의 Ra측정치를 가지며, 상기 리지를 약 0.0005 내지 0.0008㎜ 사이의 Rz측정치를 가지고, 상기 리지를 약 0.0254 내지 0.0356㎜의 평균 이격을 가진 것을 특징으로 하는 피스톤 조립체.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 리지(24)와 상기 계곡상에 탄화 플루오로 중합체를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 피스톤 조립체.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 코팅(28)이 코팅된 후에 리지(24)의 형상이 남아 있도록 상기 뽀족한 리지(24)와 상기 계곡(26)의 윤곽을 따르는 것을 특징으로 하는 피스톤 조립체.
- 제3항에 있어서, 상기 피스톤 스커트(14)는 대체로 원통형이고, 상기 리지(24)는 상기 피스톤 스커트(14)의 외부 표면에 관하여 둥글게 연장된 것을 특징으로 하는 피스톤 조립체.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 피스톤 헤드(12)와 상기 피스톤 스커트(14)가 알루미늄으로 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 피스톤 조립체.
