제1도는 본 발명의 2단계 가열공정을 수행하기 위한 2단계 유동 베드 시스템의 도식적인 플로우 챠트이며,
제2도, 3도는 2가지의 상이한 가열시간에서 숙성 온도 T1에 대한 조사후 가열된 폴리프로필렌의 영점 전단점도, 무게 평균 분자량, 및 측쇄지수를 각각 나타낸 것이다.

Claims (12)

  1. 통상적으로 고체인 반-결정성 선형 프로필렌 중합체 물질을 고-에너지 이온화 방사선으로 조사시키고, 조사된 중합체 물질중 잔여의 자유 라디칼을 열에 의해 탈활성화시키는 단계를 포함하여, 약 15용적%미만의 활성-산소 농도가 유지되는 환경에서 상기의 선형 중합체 물질로부터 고분자량의 장쇄 분지된 프로필렌 중합체 물질을 제조하는 방법에 있어서, 잔여의 자유 라디칼을 탈활성화시키기 전에, 조사된 중합체 물질을 약 40 내지 110℃ 범위의 온도에서 약 10분 이상 동안 가열시킴을 특징으로 하는 개선된 방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 조사된 중합체 물질을 약 80℃이하의 온도에서 약 30분 이상동안 가열시키고, 상기 환경에서 유지되는 활성-산호 농도가 0.004%이하인 방법.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 조사된 중합체 물질을 약 2시간 이하 동안 가열시키는 방법.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 조사된 중합체 물질을 유동 베드 집합체에 통과시켜 가열시키는 방법.
  5. 제4항에 있어서, 조사된 중합체 물질을 유동 베드 집합체로 유입시키기 전에 이를 약 실온에서 2시간 이하 동안 유지시키는 방법.
  6. 약 15용적%미만의 활성-산소 농도가 유지되는 환경에서, 조사된 자유 라디칼-함유 반-결정성 프로필렌 중합체 물질을 약 40 내지 110℃ 범위의 온도(T1)에서 약 10분 이상 동안 가열시키고(제1단계), 약 120℃ 이상의 온도(T2)에서 거의 모든 잔여의 자유 라디칼이 탈활성화되기에 충분한 시간 동안 가열시킴(제2단계)을 특징으로 하여, 조사된 프로필렌 중합체 물질을 처리하는 방법.
  7. 제6항에 있어서, 제1단계에서 프로필렌 중합체 물질을 약 80℃ 이하의 온도(T1)에서의 약 30 내지 120분 동안 가열시키고, 제2단계에서 프로필렌 중합체 물질을 약 130℃ 이상의 온도(T2)에서 약 20분 이상 동안 가열시키며, 상기 환경에서 유지되는 활성-산소 농도가 0.004% 이하인 방법.
  8. 제7항에 있어서, T2가 프로필렌 중합체 물질의 융점 이하인 방법.
  9. 제8항에 있어서, 조사된 중합체 물질을 제1단계에서 첫번째 유동 베드 집합체에 통과시키고, 제2단계에서 두번째 유동 베드 집합체에 통과시키는 방법.
  10. 제9항에 있어서, 조사된 중합체 물질을 첫번째 유동 베드 집합체에 유입시키기 전에 이를 약 실온에서 약 2시간 이하 동안 유지시키는 방법.
  11. 제7항에 있어서, T2가 프로필렌 중합체 물질의 융점 이상인 방법.
  12. 제11항에 있어서, 제2단계에서 프로필렌 중합체 물질을 용융 조건에서 압출시키는 방법.
