Claims (8)

  1. 게이트 밸브에 있어서, 중앙 게이트 챔버와, 몸체를 통하여 게이트 챔버와 연통하고 있는 입구통로와, 몸체를 통하여 게이트 챔버와 연통하고 있는 출구 통로와, 게이트 챔버로 들어가는 구멍을 둘러싸고 있는 몸체 내의 요홈을 갖고 있는 몸체와, 챔버내에 위치한 게이트와, 통로들 사이의 흐름을 전달하고 통로들 사이의 흐름을 차단하는 위치들 사이에서 챔버내의 게이트를 이동시키는 수단과, 게이트에 면하여 있는 각 요홈면과 요홈내의 부싱의 대향면 사이에 위치한 내부 및 외부 밀봉체를 구비하고 있고 ; 각 밀봉체는 U형 립 밀봉 부재와, U형 밀봉 부재내에 위치하여 밀봉 부재의 다리에 힘을 가해 부싱과 몸체 사이의 밀봉 결합을 하는 U형 스프링을 포함하고, 통로에 가장 인접하여 위치한 내부 밀봉체는 통로에 면하여 있는 밀봉 부재의 개방 단부를 갖고, 내부 밀봉체 보다 통로로부터 떨어져 있는 외부 밀봉체는 통로로부터 떨어져 면하여 있는 밀봉 부재의 개방 단부를 갖고 있고, 각 밀봉체는 효과적인 밀봉 조건에 있는 한 밀봉체의 높이 보다 낮은 깊이를 갖는 몸체와 부싱중의 하나의 요홈 안쪽에 위치하여, 부싱이 하중을 받을 때는 부싱이 몸체 요홈에 결합하여 금속간 밀봉이 이루어지는 높이까지 압축될 수 있고, 상기 하중이 제거될 때는 밀착 밀봉이 제공되는 그러한 하중 위치로부터 회수될 수 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 부싱 밀봉체에 제 2몸체를 갖는 게이트 밸브.
  2. 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 밀봉 부재는 각 다리의 외부 단부 면상에 돌출부를 갖는 한쌍의 다리를 포함하고 있고, 상기 돌출부의 외부면은 몸체 밀봉면과 부싱 밀봉면의 표면을 결합시키는 밀봉면으로 작용하는 것을 특징으로 하는 부싱 밀봉체에 제 2몸체를 갖는 게이트 밸브.
  3. 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 밀봉 부재는 우물내의 유체에 대한 저항력과, 1,055㎏/㎠(15,000psi)에서 0.018인치)까지 틈에서의 방출 저항력과 914㎏/㎠(30,000psi) 이상의 휨 강도를 갖고 있고, 149℃(300℉)의 온도에서의 하중하에서 변형 세트를 받지 않고, 최대 35,155㎏/㎠(15,000psi)의 모유울과 최소 25%의 기계적 연신율을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 부싱 밀봉체에 제 2몸체를 갖는 게이트 밸브.
  4. 제 3항에 있어서, 상기 밀봉 부재의 재료는 폴리에테르에테르케톤인 것을 특징으로 하는 부싱 밀봉체에 제 2몸체를 갖는 게이트 밸브.
  5. 제 3항에 있어서, 상기 밀봉 부재의 재료는 폴리에테르술폰인 것을 특징으로 하는 부싱 밀봉체에 제 2몸체를 갖는 게이트 밸브.
  6. 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 스프링의 재료는 우물내의 유체에 대한 높은 저항력과 높은 항복 강도를 갖는 금속 합금인 것을 특징으로 하는 부싱 밀봉체에 제 2몸체를 갖는 게이트 밸브.
  7. 제 6항에 있어서, 상기 스프링의 재료는 코발트-티멜 주성분 합금, 코발트-크롬 주성분 합금, 니켈 주성분 합금으로 구성되어 있는 그룹으로부터 선택된 것을 특징으로 하는 부싱 밀봉체에 제 2몸체를 갖는 게이트 밸브.
  8. 제 6항에 있어서, 상기 스프링의 재료는 "Elgiloy"라는 상표로 Elgiloy company Division of American Gage사와 Maching Company of Elgin, Illinois상에 의해 시판중인 코발트-니켈 합금인 것을 특징으로 하는 부싱 밀봉체에 제 2몸체를 갖는 게이트 밸브.
