자체지지성 복합체의 제조방법

제 1 도는 본 발명을 실시하기 위해 내화도가니 내에 장입한 붕소분말내에 매립된 알루미늄 주괴를 도시한 도식적인 단면입면도.
제 2 도는 실시예 1에 따라 1,200℃의 설정온도에서 붕소와 Al합금(3%의 Mg 및 10%의 Si를 함유)으로 부터 얻은 알루미늄/금속 복합체의 단면의 현미경 사진(400배).
제 3 도는 실시예 4에 따라 형성된 ZrB2/Zr 생성물의 단면의 현미경 사진 (400배).

Claims (15)

  1. 자체지지성 복합체의 제조방법에 있어서,
    (a) 모금속을 선택하는 단계,
    (b) 거의 불활성인 분위기 내에서 상기 모금속을 그 융점 이상의 온도로 가열하여 용융시키고, 용융된 금속을 붕소 공급원으로 구성된 붕소공급체에 접촉시키는 단계,
    (c) 상기 용융 모금속이 상기 붕소 공급체로 용침하여 이들 사이의 반응에 의해 모금속 붕화물을 생성시키는데 필요한 충분한 시간동안 상기 온도를 유지하는 단계, 및
    (d) 금속상과 모금속 붕화물로 구성되는 상기 자체지지성 복합체를 생성하는 데 필요한 충분한 시간동안 상기 용침 및 반응을 계속하는 단계로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 자체 지지성 복합체의 제조방법.
  2. 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 붕소 공급원에 불활성 충전재를 혼합하여 상기 붕소공급체를 형성하는 단계, 상기 충전재를 함유하도록 상기 붕소 공급체내로의 용침 및 반응을 발생시키는 단계 및 금속상과 모금속 붕화물로 구성된 기지에 상기 충전재가 함유된 구성의 상기 자체지지성 복합체의 제조방법.
  3. 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서, 상기 붕소 공급원의 양은 적어도 화학양론적인 양으로 제공하며, 상기 용침 및 반응은 상기 모금속 전체가 소모되는데 필요한 충분한 시간동안 계속되는 것을 특징으로 하는 자체지지성 복합체의 제조방법.
  4. 제 3 항에 있어서, 상기 용침 및 반응이 다공성 복합체를 생성하는데 필요한 충분한 시간동안 계속되는 것을 특징으로 하는 자체지지성 복합체의 제조방법.
  5. 제 1 항, 제 2 항 또는 제 3 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 모금속은 알루미늄, 티타늄, 지르코늄, 실리콘, 하프늄, 란타늄, 철, 칼슘, 바나듐, 니오븀, 마그네슘 및 베릴륨으로 구성된 그룹으로 부터 선택되는 것을 특징으로 하는 자체지지성 복합체의 제조방법.
  6. 제 1 항 내지 제5항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 모금속이 알루미늄이고, 상기 붕소 공급원이 원소붕소이고, 상기 자체지지성 복합체는 알루미늄 및 알루미늄 붕화물로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 자체지지성 복합체의 제조방법.
  7. 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 붕소 공급체는 밀도가 낮은 붕소 공급원으로 구성된 것으로서 이에 의해 상기 금속상의 특성이 주가되는 특성을 가지는 자체지지성 복합체를 생성하는 것을 특징으로 하는 자체지지성 복합체의 제조방법.
  8. 제 2 항에 있어서, 상기 붕소 공급체는 상기 충전재 성분 사이의 공간의 밀도가 낮은 붕소 공급원으로 구성되며, 이에 의해 상기 복합체는 주로 상기 금속상의 특성을 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 자체지지성 복합체의 제조방법.
  9. 제 7 항 또는 제 8 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 붕소 공급원이 원소 붕소인 것을 특징으로 하는 자체지지성 복합체의 제조방법.
  10. 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 붕소 공급체는 밀도가 높은 붕소 공급원으로 구성된 것으로서, 이에 의해 상기 모금속 붕화물의 특성이 주가 되는 자체지지성 복합체를 생성하는 것을 특징으로 하는 자체지지성 복합체의 제조방법.
  11. 제 2 항에 있어서, 상기 붕소 공급체는 상기 충전재 사이의 공간의 밀도가 높은 붕소 공급원으로 구성되며, 이에 의해 상기 복합체는 주로 상기 모금속 붕화물의 특성을 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 자체지지성 복합체의 제조방법.
  12. 제10항 또는 제11항에 있어서, 상기 붕소 공급원이 원소붕소인 것을 특징으로 하는 자체지지성 복합체의 제조방법.
  13. 제 2 항 또는 제 6 항에 있어서, 상기 붕소 공급체는 적어도 50중량%의 붕소공급원으로 구성되며, 상기 모금속붕화물은 적어도 1차원 형태로 상호 연결되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 자체지지성 복합체의 제조방법.
  14. 제 1 항 내지 제13항 중 어느 한항에 있어서, 상기 붕소 공급체는 상기 모금속에 의해 환원될 수 있는 금속 붕화물을 포함하며, 상기 금속상은 상기 금속붕화물로 부터 나온 금속을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 자체지지성 복합체의 제조방법.
  15. 제 14 항에 있어서, 상기 모금속은 티타늄이며, 상기 환원성 금속 붕화물은 알루미늄 도데카보라이드인 것을 특징으로 하는 자체지지성 복합체의 제조방법.
