Abstract
Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a vehicle crash shock absorber, and more particularly, to a vehicle crash shock absorber that uses a hollow pipe to prevent discontinuous impact to a occupant during a vehicle collision.
The vehicle collision shock absorber is a kind of shock absorber installed in the front part of the median or at the beginning of the safety fence in order to alleviate the shock caused by the vehicle crashing into the median or roadside safety fence.
Such a vehicle collision dampening device minimizes damage to the vehicle due to the collision because the entire or part of the body is deformed in the direction in which the pressure is applied to absorb the force when the vehicle collides. In general, airbags, water tanks, sandboxes, waste tires, gas shock absorbers, springs, strong viscous materials, styropoles, and the like are used for buffering in the event of a vehicle collision.
An example of such a vehicle collision shock absorber is disclosed in Korean Patent Registration No. 10-1203068 (referred to as 'prior art document 1').
1 is a view showing a vehicle collision shock absorber disclosed in Prior Art Document 1. Referring to FIG.
As shown in FIG. 1, the conventional vehicle collision shock absorber disclosed in Prior Art Document 1 arranges two channel-
In the conventional vehicle collision shock absorber disclosed in Prior Art Document 1, when the vehicle in motion collides with the front of the shock absorber, the
However, the conventional vehicle collision shock absorber as described above has a problem in that when the shock absorbing plate is cut, the impact is discontinuously generated, so that the neck of a person riding in the vehicle is seriously injured by the impact.
The present invention has been devised to solve the above problems, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a vehicle crash shock absorber that prevents discontinuous impact to a occupant during a vehicle collision.
The present invention relates to a rail extending in the longitudinal direction, a plurality of sliders formed to be slidable along the rail, and a plurality of hollows fixed to each of the sliders, telescopically coupled along the longitudinal direction, and having an annular cross-sectional shape. In the vehicle collision shock absorber made of a pipe, the plurality of hollow pipes are formed with cut-outs in the longitudinal direction to provide a vehicle collision shock absorber provided to mitigate the impact while the cut-outs expand when a vehicle collides.
Here, the cut-out portion of the hollow pipe is preferably formed by cutting and expanding a part of the circular pipe.
In addition, it is preferable that the inner surface of the hollow pipe is embossed.
In addition, it is preferable that the hollow pipe is filled with an elastic material therein.
As described above, in the vehicle collision shock absorber according to the present invention, a discontinuous impact does not occur to the occupant during a vehicle collision as the cutout formed in the longitudinal direction of the hollow pipe expands and acts as a buffer when the vehicle collides. It can be prevented in advance from being broken by impact.
In addition, since the vehicle collision shock absorber according to the present invention is formed by cutting and expanding a part of the circular pipe, a separate member for providing the shock absorber is not required.
In addition, since the vehicle collision shock absorber according to the present invention is formed by cutting and expanding a part of a circular pipe to provide a buffer means, it is easy to work.
In addition, in the vehicle collision shock absorber according to the present invention, since the inner surface of the hollow pipe is embossed, frictional force is improved during a collision to increase resistance.
In addition, since the vehicle collision shock absorber according to the present invention is filled with an elastic material inside the hollow pipe, the cushioning effect is increased.
