도 4는 본 실시형태에 따른 표면 피복 절삭 공구의 제조 방법에 이용하는 화학 증착(CVD) 장치를 모식적으로 나타내는 모식도이다.

Claims (6)
- 기재(基材)와, 상기 기재 상에 형성된 피막을 구비하는 표면 피복 절삭 공구로서,
상기 피막은, 경질층을 포함하며,
상기 경질층은, 염화나트륨형의 결정 구조를 갖는 복수의 결정립을 포함하고,
상기 경질층 중 상기 기재의 표면의 법선 방향에 평행한 단면에 대하여, 전자선 후방 산란 회절 장치를 이용하여 상기 복수의 결정립의 결정 방위를 각각 해석함으로써, 상기 결정립의 결정면인 (111)면에 대한 법선 방향과 상기 기재의 표면에 대한 법선 방향의 교차각을 측정한 경우에, 상기 교차각이 0도 이상 20도 미만이 되는 상기 결정립의 비율(A)이 50% 이상이며,
상기 결정립의 입계는, CSL 입계와, 일반 입계를 포함하고,
상기 CSL 입계 중 Σ3형 결정립계의 길이는, 상기 CSL 입계를 구성하는 Σ3형 결정립계, Σ5형 결정립계, Σ7형 결정립계, Σ9형 결정립계, Σ11형 결정립계, Σ13형 결정립계, Σ15형 결정립계, Σ17형 결정립계, Σ19형 결정립계, Σ21형 결정립계, Σ23형 결정립계, Σ25형 결정립계, Σ27형 결정립계 및 Σ29형 결정립계의 각각의 길이의 총계인 Σ3-29형 결정립계의 길이의 50% 미만이고,
상기 결정립은, AlxTi1 -x의 질화물 또는 탄질화물로 이루어지는 제1 층과, AlyTi1-y의 질화물 또는 탄질화물(단 x≠y)로 이루어지는 제2 층이 교대로 적층된 적층 구조를 가지며,
인접하는 상기 제1 층과 상기 제2 층의 두께의 합계는, 3 ㎚ 이상 40 ㎚ 이하인 것인 표면 피복 절삭 공구. - 제1항에 있어서, 상기 교차각은 10도 이상 20도 미만이 되는 상기 결정립의 비율(B)이, 30% 이상인 것인 표면 피복 절삭 공구.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 경질층은, 1 ㎛ 이상 15 ㎛ 이하의 두께를 갖는 것인 표면 피복 절삭 공구.
- 제1항 내지 제3항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 경질층은, 나노 인덴테이션법에 따른 압입 경도가 30 ㎬ 이상 40 ㎬ 이하인 것인 표면 피복 절삭 공구.
- 제1항 내지 제4항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 경질층은, 압축 잔류 응력의 절대값이 0.5 ㎬ 이상 3.0 ㎬ 이하인 것인 표면 피복 절삭 공구.
- 제1항 내지 제5항 중 어느 한 항에 기재된 표면 피복 절삭 공구의 제조 방법으로서,
상기 기재를 준비하는 제1 공정과,
상기 경질층을 화학 증착법을 이용하여 형성하는 제2 공정
을 포함하고,
상기 제2 공정은, AlCl3 가스 및 TiCl4 가스의 양방 또는 어느 한쪽의 유량을 변조시키면서 상기 결정립을 성장시키는 공정을 포함하는 것인 표면 피복 절삭 공구의 제조 방법.
