Description
Claims (8)
- 제1 기판과 제2 기판 사이에 액정을 협지하고, 1개의 화소 내에 투과 표시를 행하는 투과부와 반사 표시를 행하는 반사부를 갖고 제1 전극과 제2 전극을 상기 제1 기판에 구비하는 액정 표시 장치로서,상기 제1 기판과 상기 액정을 개재하여 대향하는 상기 제2 기판에 제3 전극을 구비하고,상기 제1 전극은, 상기 제2 전극과 함께 상기 투과부에 형성되어 있는 한편, 상기 제3 전극과 함께 상기 반사부에도 형성되고,상기 액정은, 상기 투과부에서는 상기 제1 전극과 상기 제2 전극의 전계에 의해 배향 제어되며, 상기 반사부에서는 상기 제1 전극과 상기 제3 전극의 전계에 의해 배향 제어되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 반사부에 내장된 위상차층을 더 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제2항에 있어서,상기 위상차층은 상기 제1 기판에 형성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제3항에 있어서,상기 위상차층은 1/2 파장판인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제2항에 있어서,상기 위상차층에 의해 상기 반사부에서의 셀 갭이 상기 투과부에서의 셀 갭보다도 좁혀져 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 반사부에서의 셀 갭이 상기 투과부에서의 셀 갭보다도 좁혀져 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 제1 기판에는 상기 제1 전극, 절연막, 상기 제2 전극이 이 순번으로 적층되며, 상기 제2 전극에는 제1 전극과 대향하는 영역에 슬릿을 갖고 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항 내지 제5항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 제2 전극과 상기 제3 전극에 동일한 전위가 인가되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
