PURPOSE: A method for reducing a noise of operating an air conditioner is provided to reduce a slugging noise by operating an air conditioner compressor for a predetermined time before starting an engine of an automobile. CONSTITUTION: Whether an engine of an automobile is started is judged. A controller judges whether a starting switch is turned on(S1). It is judged whether a temperature of outdoor air is higher than a reference temperature(S2). It is judged whether a battery voltage is higher than a reference voltage(S3). It is judged whether an air conditioner switch is turned off(S4). It is judged whether a difference between a temperature of cooling water and the temperature of the outdoor air is higher than a referential difference temperature(S5). An air conditioner compressor is driven for a predetermined time(S6). The air conditioner compressor is not operated(S7).
