Abstract

PURPOSE: Provided is a cosmetic composition which contains octacosanol, and exerts anti-aging effect by moisturizing the skin, giving elasticity thereto and removing wrinkles thereof. CONSTITUTION: The cosmetic composition comprises 0.01-5wt.% of octacosanol. The octacosanol content is added to a skin lotion, a nourishing lotion, a nourishing cream, an essence, or a massage cream. When the amount of octacosanol is less than 0.01wt.%, the desired anti-aging effect is not exerted. By contrast, when the amount of octacosanol exceeds 5wt.%, the production efficiency is deteriorated.
