Abstract

셀룰러 전화와 같은 이동통신 장치의 이용은 점점 더 일반화되어 가고 있다. 예컨대, 셀룰러 전화에 의해서 각 개인은 행동 근거지로부터 멀리 떨어져 있거나, 쉴새없이 돌아다니거나, 불충분하거나 불편한 육상 전화회선을 가진 장소에 있는 경우에 다른 사람들과 연락할 수가 있다. 또한 셀룰러 전화와 같은 통신 시스템은 셀룰러 전화를 갖고 있는 개인들이 어디에 있든 간에 그들의 고유 전화번호를 알고 있다면 그들과 연락할 수 있는 간단하고 손쉬운 방법을 제공한다.

본 발명은 일반적으로 사용자 이동 정보 시스템에 관한 것으로, 특히 위치식별 가능 사용자 이동 통신 시스템에 관한 것이다.

본 발명의 일 실시예에서, GPS 서버는 이동장치로부터 정보를 주기적으로 요구한다. 이동장치는 GPS 신호를 수신하는 GPS 수신기 회로를 포함한다. GPS 수신기는 GPS 기준 서버가 제공하는 정보와 GPS 기준 서버가 수행하는 에러 정정 처리를 이용하여 그 위치를 판단한다. GPS 서버가 조사하고 나면 이동장치는 GPS 서버에게 이동장치의 현재위치와 부가 정보를 제공한다.

가입자 서버도 많은 사용자 지정 저장 공간을 포함하는 웹서버에 연결된다. 웹서버도 사용자 정보를 구성하는데 사용되는 많은 응용 소프트웨어를 포함하는 추가적인 응용 서버에 연결되어 있다. 웹서버와 사용자 지정 저장 공간도 인터넷을 통해 일반 사용자에게 연결된다. 일반 사용자는 예컨대 사용자 지정 공간을 조사하여 사용자 위치나 기타 사용자에 관련된 정보를 결정할 수 있다. 보안 레벨은 각종 개인 정보에 접근할 수 있는 사람 수를 제한하도록 구현될 수 있다. 일반인과, 특히 사업 PC 사용자도 예컨대 PCD나 기타 위치를 이동하는 것들을 사용하는 자에게 정보를 제공하기를 원할 수 있다. 따라서, 일반인은 편성(fielded) 정보 웹서버에 정보를 제공할 수 있다. 편성 정보 웹서버는 위치 지정 정보가 GPS 서버와 이동 사용자에게서 이용될 수 있게 한다. 이에 따라 이동 사용자들은 예컨대 편성 정보 웹서버를 조사하여 그들이 관심을 갖고 있는 사업장 근처의 위치를 결정할 수 있다. 이러한 관심은 그들이 사업장을 방문할 의도를 갖고 있었기 때문이거나 그들에게 사업장 방문을 원하게 만드는 환경의 갑작스러운 변화에 기인한다.
도 4는 PCD에 대한 통신 및 기능 흐름을 도시한 것이다. 도시된 바와 같이, PCD는 차량 사용자와 통신하고 있으며 가입자 서버와도 통신하고 있다. 가입자 서버와의 통신에 의해서 PCD는 예컨대 사업에 관한 정보를 얻을 수 있다.
본 발명의 양상에 따라서 중앙 컴퓨터 시스템도 데이터베이스 내에 정보를 유지하고 있으므로 개인 사용자의 물리적 및 전자적 통신 위치를 쉽게 찾을 수 있다. 중앙 컴퓨터 시스템은 개인들의 데이터베이스와 각 개인에 링크된 인터넷 주소를 유지한다. 각 개인에 링크된 인터넷 어드레스는 유일한 어드레스일 필요는 없고, 대신에 많은 개인들은 인터넷 주소 필드에서 인터넷 주소로 표시된 하나의 컴퓨터를 이용할 수 있다. 예컨대 많은 경우에 중앙 컴퓨터 시스템은 인터넷 주소에 의해 식별되는 컴퓨터 시스템일 수 있다.
시스템은 또한 인터넷에 의해 링크된 많은 컴퓨터 시스템을 포함하는데, 이 컴퓨터 시스템은 인터넷 주소 필드에서 개인들의 주소 필드에 의해 지시된 컴퓨터 시스템이다. 이들 컴퓨터 각각은 홈사이트 컴퓨터 시스템을 구성한다. 홈사이트 컴퓨터 시스템을 유지하는 것은 개인들의 책임이다.
홈사이트 컴퓨터 시스템은 개인의 전자 접속 정보와 지리적 위치를 유지한다. 전자 접속 정보는 집 전화번호, 사무실 전화번호, 셀룰러 전화번호, 팩스번호, 및 e-메일 주소를 포함한다. 지리적 위치는 위도와 동경으로 나타내며, 거리주소나 사이트 이름도 위도와 동경으로 나타낼 수 있다.
또한, 지리적 위치 정보에서 각 전자적 통신 식별기에는 보안 레벨 지수가 링크되어 있다. 일 실시예에서 보안 레벨 지수는 1과 10 사이의 숫자이다. 개인은 각 정보 항목에 대해서 보안 레벨 지수를 할당한다. 사용자도 자신에게 접촉하기를 원하는 다른 개인들을 식별하며, 그 다른 개인들 각각에 어떤 보안 레벨 지수를 할당할 것을 가를 표시한다. 사용자에 의해 식별되지 않은 다른 개인들에게는 디폴트 보안 레벨 지수가 할당된다. 홈사이트가 어떤 한 개인에 의해 접속될 때에 나머지 다른 개인은 개인의 이름과 같은 식별자를 홈사이트에 제공한다. 일 실시예에서 그 나머지 다른 개인도 홈사이트가 개인의 동일성을 인증하기 위하여 홈사이트에 패스워드를 제공한다. 바람직하게는 인증된 개인의 동일성에 기초하여, 홈사이트는 그 다른 개인의 보안 레벨 지수를 결정한다.
그 후, 그 다른 개인은 그 다른 개인의 보안 레벨 지수값과 그 지수값 이하의 값에 대한 정보만을 얻을 수 있다. 예컨대, 사용자의 일반 사무실 작업번호에는 10의 보안 레벨 지수가 할당되고, 사용자의 직통 전화번호에는 6의 보안 레벨 지수가 할당될 수 있다. 7의 보안 레벨 지수를 가진 첫 번째 다른 개인은 사용자의 일반 사무실 번호만을 얻을 수 있고, 6의 보안 pqpf 지수를 가진 두 번째 다른 개인은 사용자의 직통 전화번호를 얻을 수 있다.
사용자의 지리적 위치는 PCD를 통해 갱신된다. 전술한 바와 같이, PCD는 여러 가지 방식으로 사용자 위치를 나타내는 e-메일을 제공하는데 이용될 수 있다. 사용자의 홈사이트 컴퓨터 시스템이 그와 같은 갱신에 대한 e-메일 주소로서 식별되면, 사용자의 홈사이트 컴퓨터 시스템은 시간에 따라 그 사용자를 추적할 수 있다. 본 발명의 일 실시예에서 사용자의 홈사이트 컴퓨터 시스템에는 PCD에 의해 제공된 e-메일 위치 갱신의 카피가 항상 제공된다.
그러므로 본 발명은 위치 중신 정보 시스템을 제공한다. 본 발명은 특정 실시예들에 대해서 설명하였지만, 본 발명은 특별히 기재된어 있는 것과 달리 실시될 수 있음을 이해해야 할 것이다.

Claims (3)

  1. 네트워크에 연결되어, 이동 통신 장치의 위치를 표시하는 정보를 수신하는 서버; 및
    상기 서버에 액세스할 수 있으며, 상기 이동 통신 장치에 연결되어 있으며, 상기 이동 통신 장치의 사용자에 관한 정보를 저장하며, 상기 이동 통신 장치의 위치에 관한 데이터와 상기 이동 통신 장치와의 통신 설정에 관한 데이터를 포함하는 메모리
    를 포함하며,
    상기 서버는 상기 이동 통신 장치의 사용자에 관한 정보를 저장하는 상기 메모리에의 액세스를 가능하게 하는 프로그램을 실행하며, 상기 프로그램은 사용자의 신원(identity)에 기초하여 서로 다른 여러 사람이 상기 메모리에 서로 다르게 액세스하는 것을 가능하게 하는 위치 관련 서버 시스템.
  2. 제1항에서, 상기 메모리는 e-카드 정보를 저장하는 위치 관련 서버 시스템.
  3. 사용자에 관한 접속 정보를 제공하는 방법에 있어서,
    컴퓨터 네트워크를 통해 특정 사용자에 액세스할 수 있는 메모리 내에 사용자 지정 공간을 할당하는 단계;
    이동 통신 장치를 상기 사용자에 연결시키는 단계;
    상기 이동 통신 장치에 의해 제공된 위치 정보를 수신함으로써 상기 사용자의 위치를 결정하는 단계;
    상기 사용자의 위치를 표시하는 데이터를 상기 사용자 지정 공간 내에 저장하는 단계;
    상기 사용자에 관한 추가 데이터를 수신하는 단계;
    상기 사용자에 관한 상기 추가 데이터를 상기 사용자 지정 공간 내에 저장하는 단계;
    상기 사용자 지정 공간 내의 상기 데이터의 요구자들의 액세스 리스트를 수신하는 단계; 및
    상기 사용자의 위치를 표시하는 상기 데이터와 상기 사용자에 관한 상기 추가 데이터를 상기 액세스 리스트 상의 요구자들에게 제공하는 단계
    를 포함하는 방법.
