Abstract
Description
Claims (14)
- 하나의 필드 세그먼트, 복수의 데이터 세그먼트, 및 관련된 동기 성분을 각각 포함하는 연속적인 필드의 그룹으로 포맷되어진 다중 레벨 심볼의 형태로, 고선명 텔레비전(HDTV) 포맷 정보를 나타내는 디지털 데이터를 포함하고 있는 신호를 수신하기 위한 시스템에서의 신호 처리 방법으로서,(a) 복조된 신호를 생성하기 위해서 상기 수신된 신호를 복조하는 단계와;(b) 필터링된 신호를 생성하기 위해서 NTSC 동일-채널 간섭을 제거하도록 상기 복조된 신호를 필터링하는 단계와;(c) 절단 비-유클리드 매트릭(truncated non-Euclidean metric)을 사용하는 트렐리스 디코더를 통해 상기 필터링된 신호를 트렐리스 디코딩하는 단계를포함하는, 신호 처리 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 수신된 신호는 측파대(VSB) 변조된 신호인, 신호 처리 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 필터링 단계는 상기 복조된 신호를 콤 필터링하는 단계를 포함하는, 신호 처리 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서,단계(a)는 상기 수신된 신호를 복조기를 통해서 복조하는 단계를 포함하고;단계(b)는,(1) 상기 복조기를 통해서 NTSC 동일-채널 간섭을 검출하는 단계와,(2) NTSC 동일-채널 간섭이 상기 복조기에 의해서 검출되는 경우에만, 상기 복조기의 콤 필터를 통해 상기 복조된 신호를 필터링하는 단계를 포함하고;단계(c)는, NTSC 동일-채널 간섭이 상기 복조기에 의해서 검출되는 경우에 절단 비-유클리드 매트릭을 사용하는 부분 응답 트렐리스 디코더를 통해 상기 필터링된 신호를 트렐리스 디코딩하고, 그렇지 않으면, 유클리드 매트릭을 사용하는 최적의 트렐리스 디코더를 통해 상기 복조된 신호를 트렐리스 디코딩하는 단계를 포함하는, 신호 처리 방법.
- 제 4항에 있어서, 상기 부분 응답 트렐리스 디코더는 8-상태 부분 응답 트렐리스 디코더이고, 상기 최적의 트렐리스 디코더는 4-상태 최적 트렐리스 디코더인, 신호 처리 방법.
- 제 5항에 있어서, 상기 부분 응답 트렐리스 디코더와 상기 최적의 트렐리스 디코더는 12 디코더 인터리빙을 수행하기 위해 12 개의 동일한 디코더를 구비하는 트렐리스 디코더에 의해 구현되는, 신호 처리 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서, NTSC 간섭이 존재하고 단계(b)의 필터링 시에 상기 트렐리스 디코더에 의해서 사용될 최적의 매트릭은 필터링된 잡음 샘플의 조건부 확률 밀도 함수(PDF)의 곱에 관련된 최적의 비-유클리드 매트릭이고, 상기 절단 매트릭은, 상기 최적의 비-유클리드 매트릭의 상기 조건부 PDF가 이전 샘플의 유한적인 작은 수(m)로 절단되는 상기 최적의 비-유클리드 매트릭의 절단 버전이며, 상기 m에 조건이 적용되는, 신호 처리 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 절단 매트릭의 일반적인 값(m)에 대해서, 상기 절단 매트릭은으로 제공되고, 여기서 n은 시퀀스 길이이고, m은 절단 상수(m#n)이고, y는 수신된 부분 응답 심볼과 상관된 잡음의 합이고, dz는 부분 응답 심볼이고, dw은 상관된 잡음이며, dw-m+1=...=dw-1=dw0/0인, 신호 처리 방법.
- 제 8항에 있어서, m=1인, 신호 처리 방법.
- 제 9항에 있어서, m=2인, 신호 처리 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 절단 매트릭은 절대-절단 매트릭(absolute-truncated metric)인, 신호 처리 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 절단 매트릭은 2-계수 제곱 매트릭(power-of-two-coefficient metric)인, 신호 처리 방법.
- 제 12항에 있어서, 상기 2-계수 제곱 매트릭은 절대-2-계수 제곱 매트릭인, 신호 처리 방법.
- 디지털 데이터를 포함하는 트렐리스 인코딩 신호를 수신하기 위한 시스템에서의 신호 처리 방법으로서,(a) 백색 잡음을 갖는 복조된 신호를 생성하기 위해서 수신된 신호를 복조하는 단계로서, 백색 잡음을 갖는 상기 복조된 신호는 유클리드 매트릭을 사용하여 신호를 트렐리스 디코딩함으로써 최적으로 트렐리스 디코딩될 수 있는, 복조 단계와;(b) 필터링된 신호를 생성하기 위해서 상기 복조된 신호를 필터링하는 단계로서, 상기 필터링은 상기 신호의 상기 백색 잡음을 상관된 잡음으로 변환하는, 필터링 단계와;(c) 절단 비-유클리드 매트릭을 사용하는 트렐리스 디코더를 통해 상기 필터링된 신호를 트렐리스 디코딩하는 단계를포함하는, 신호 처리 방법.
