Abstract

Claims (4)
- 내측면에 게이트 패드를 포함한 게이트 라인과 데이터 패드를 포함한 데이터 라인이 교차하게 배열된 어레이 기판과, 내측면 상에 블랙 매트릭스와 컬러필터가 구비된 컬러 필터 기판이 액정층의 개재하에 합착되어진 액정 패널; 상기 에레이 기판과 컬러 필터 기판의 외측면에 각각 부착된 상하부 편광판; 상기 액정 패널의 하부에 배치된 백-라이트; 및 상기 액정 패널과 백-라이트의 가장자리를 둘러싸는 베젤을 포함하는 액정표시장치에 있어서,상기 블랙 매트릭스는 상기 데이터 패드부와 그 타측부 및 상기 게이트 패드부의 타측부에 대응하는 영역에서는 상기 어레이 기판의 끝단까지 연장, 배치되며,상기 게이트 패드부에 인정하는 어레이 기판 영역의 외측면 가장자리에는 차광 테이프가 부착되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 확장된 블랙매트릭스 영역은 상기 컬러 필터 기판 가장자리 스크라이빙 라인으로부터 2mm까지 인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 블랙 매트릭스의 재질을 합성(resin) 수지로 사용할 경우에는 상기 블랙 매트릭스의 확장 영역을 상기 어레이 기판 상에 형성된 게이트 패드 부에 대응되는 상기 컬러 필터 기판의 실링한 영역 밖의 가장 자리까지 확장 형성할 수 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 블랙 매트릭스의 확장 부분은 실리콘으로 코팅된 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
