Description
현재 쏘가리 치어를 양식하고 있는 양어장에서는 장어 양식용 배합사료등을 이용하여 사료에 순치시키려 하고 있으나, 실제로는 배합사료에 순치하는 과정에서 많은수의 폐사가 일어나며, 배합사료를 섭식하는 개체도 증체에 필요한 많큼 사료를 섭식하지는않고 단지 기초대사를 유지할정도의 사료효율을 보여 결과적으로 단기간의 빠른 증체를 기대하기 어렵다. 또한 사료의 허실량이 기타 다른 어종보다 상대적으로 많아져 수질의 오염 정도가 심하며, 이로 인한 폐수처리비 및 수질 관리비에 대한 부담이 높아져 생산 원가 가 판매 단가를 상회하여 쏘가리 양식이 다른 어종의 양식에 비하여 채산성이 떨어지는 결과를 초래한다. 전술한대로 배합사료를 섭취한 쏘가리는 배설물의 양이 많아지며, 부적합한 상태의 사료는 쏘가리가 삼켰다 하더라도 다시 토해버리는 습성등에 더하여 수조 바닥에 먹혀지지 않고 버려지는 사료들로 인한 물의 오염은 질병을 유발시키는 좋은 배지의 구실을 하게된다. 반면에 쏘가리 자체는 기초대사만을 유지할정도로 먹이 섭취량이 적은고로 질병에 대한 강한 항병력을 갖출정도의 영양상태 수준까지는 도달하지 못하게 되어 외적 환경요인이나 내적 건강 요인 면에서 모두 질병에 대하여 무방비 상태로 노출된채 사육하게되어, 전염성 질환이 특히 중요시되는 수조내 다두 밀집사육방식에서는 매우 위험한 방법 이다. 이 방법은 아직까지 급여하고 있는 사료를 쏘가리가 대부분 섭식하고 가소화율이 좋아 높은 영양수준을 쏘가리가 이룰수 있는 사료가 개발되지 못한 현재의 실정에서는 그 성과가 불투명하고, 경제적인 양식을 하는데 있어 오히려 심각한 장애 요인으로 작용한다. 따라서 쏘가리 전용사료가 없는 현 시점에서 배합사료에 순치 시키고자 노력하는 것은 단지 경제성을 전혀 고려하지 않고 쏘가리도 배합사료에 순치시켜 기를수 있다는 가능성에 대한 비전만을 제시 한다는 데서 그 의의를 가질수있을것이다.Currently, fish farms that raise mandarin fish are trying to make them into feed using eel farming compound feeds, but in reality, a large number of mortalities occur in the process of squeezing them into compound feeds.
