Claims (10)
- 기지국으로부터 다수의 이동국들로 상기 다수의 이동국에 대응하는 다수의 순방향 통신 링크들을 제공하는 통신 시스템에서, 상기 통신 시스템의 순방향 링크 통신 용량을 제어하기 위한 방법에 있어서,상기 다수의 순방향 통신 링크들 중 적어도 하나와 관련된 이득 세팅을 수신하는 단계;상기 이득 세팅을 이득 임계치와 비교하는 단계; 및상기 비교 단계를 근거로 상기 다수의 순방향 통신 링크들 중 적어도 하나의 제1 인코딩 비율을 제2 인코딩 비율로 조정함으로써, 상기 통신 시스템의 순방향 링크 통신 용량을 제어하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 제1 인코딩 비율이 선정된 인코딩 비율 보다 작을 때 상기 조정 단계를 방지하는 단계를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 비교 단계에서 상기 이득 세팅이 상기 이득 임계치 보다 높을 때 상기 제2 인코딩 비율이 상기 제1 인코딩 비율 보다 작은 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 제2 인코딩 비율과 상기 제1 인코딩 비율의 비에 비례하는 팩터에 의해 상기 이득 세팅을 스케일링하는 단계를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 제2 인코딩 비율과 상기 통신 시스템에서 가능한 최대 인코딩 비율의 비에 비례하는 팩터에 의해 상기 이득 세팅을 스케일링하는 단계를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 조정 단계에서 상기 다수의 순방향 통신 링크들의 상기 적어도 하나가 상기 수신 단계에서 수신된 상기 이득 세팅과 관련된 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 이득 임계치가 상기 통신 시스템에서 대응하는 다수의 선정된 상태들과 관련된 다수의 이득 임계치들 중에서 선택되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 7항에 있어서,상기 다수의 선정된 상태들이 2 웨이 내지 6 웨이 핸드오프 상태들을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 이득 임계치가 상기 통신 순방향 링크 통신 용량의 최대 로딩 레벨 보다 적은 로딩 레벨을 야기하는 다수의 추정된 순방향 통신 링크들과 관련된 다수의 이득 세팅들의 통계 분석을 근거로 하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 기지국으로부터 다수의 이동국들로 상기 다수의 이동국에 대응하는 다수의 순방향 통신 링크들을 제공하는 통신 시스템에서, 상기 통신 시스템의 순방향 링크 통신 용량을 제어하기 위한 장치에 있어서,상기 다수의 순방향 통신 링크들 중 적어도 하나와 관련된 이득 세팅을 수신하기 위한 수단;상기 이득 세팅을 이득 임계치와 비교하고, 상기 이득 세팅이 상기 이득 임계치 보다 높거나 낮음을 나타내는 상태를 갖는 데이터 비트를 출력하기 위한 수단; 및상기 데이터 비트의 상태를 근거로 상기 다수의 순방향 통신 링크들 중 적어도 하나의 인코딩 비율을 조정하기 위한 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
