Abstract

PURPOSE: A method for raising seedlings by using zeolite containing abundant nutrition and promoting germination of plant is provided to reduce the raising time and produce high quality seedlings. CONSTITUTION: The method is characterized by the steps of: (i) tempering powdered zeolite with a little amount of water; (ii) spreading the tempered zeolite as a culture soil in a seedbed box; (iii) scattering seedlings soaked in water for a day to the culture soil; and (iv) leaving the seedbed in a double vinyl tunnel for 18-20days with maintaining the temperature more than 20deg.C.
