또한, 실시예 1 내지 5와 비교예 1 내지 5에 따라 제조된 매스틱 추출물을 포함하는 화장품 조성물의 미백 효과를 측정하였다. 미백 효과의 측정은 0.5M 인산완충용액(pH 6.5) 5㎖에 10mM L-DOPA를 용해시킨 기질액 2㎖를 가하고, 실시예 1 내지 5와 비교예 1 내지 5에 따라 제조된 매스틱 추출물을 1㎖를 각각 첨가하여 혼합한 화장품 조성물에 tyrosinase 2㎖를 첨가하고, 25℃에서 3분간 반응시킨 후, 반응액 중에서 생성된 dopachrome을 microplate reader를 이용하고 475nm에서 흡광도를 측정하여 티로시나제 저해능(Tyrosinase inhibition rate)을 비교하였다.
