Abstract

The oral care implement demonstration assembly includes an electric oral care implement, a package housing and a plurality of demonstration elements. Electric Toothbrush Package {POWERED TOOTHBRUSH PACKAGE}

The present invention relates to a package, and more particularly, to a powered toothbrush package that demonstrates the functionality of the toothbrush visually.

In general, consumers use a variety of sensing capabilities, including visual, auditory and tactile, to select the desired article. However, in a sales place such as a retail store, the consumer could not have full access to the article because the article was housed in a package, embedded or otherwise wrapped to protect against loss or damage of the article.

Frequently, consumers find it difficult to understand how the operation of a powered toothbrush head correlates with an understanding of how teeth are cleaned. Accordingly, there is a need for an article package and demonstration method that demonstrates the functionality of a powered toothbrush in a form readily understood by the consumer.

The present invention relates to a package of a powered article. In one aspect of the invention, the powered toothbrush package demonstrates visually the functionality of the toothbrush.

According to one aspect of the invention, the package of the powered toothbrush takes the form of a vibration demonstration assembly of an oral care implement. The assembly also incorporates an associated method for demonstrating the features of the oral care implement.

According to one aspect of the invention, a package of an oral care implement includes a base member having an indicia associated with the oral care implement. The display is configured such that a visual effect appears from the display in response to the vibration input provided by the instrument. In one configuration, the indicia includes a first element with one marking and a second element with one marking. Relative movements between the elements cause the marking to reveal the visual effect to the viewer.
