Description
Claims (12)
- 열가소성 발포체 재료를 포함하는 차량 범퍼로서 사용하기 위한 에너지 흡수 유닛이며, 상기 유닛은 상부 구역 및 하부 구역을 포함하고, 상기 상부 구역은 일반적으로 차량의 종방향으로의 충돌 중에 에너지를 흡수함으로써 차량의 구조부를 보호하기 위한 고밀도의 열가소성 발포체 재료를 포함하는 내부 영역과, 충돌 중에 에너지를 흡수함으로써 인간 또는 동물의 신체의 충돌에 대한 보호를 제공하기 위한 저밀도의 열가소성 발포체 재료를 포함하는 외부 영역을 포함하고, 상기 하부 구역은 상부 구역의 내부 및 외부 영역의 열가소성 발포체 재료들의 밀도의 중간 밀도를 갖는 열가소성 발포체 재료를 포함하는 에너지 흡수 유닛.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 상부 구역의 내부 영역 또는 외부 영역, 또는 하부 구역에 이용되는 열가소성 발포체 재료들 중 적어도 하나는 이방성 열가소성 발포체 재료를 포함하는 에너지 흡수 유닛.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 상부 구역의 내부 및 외부 영역, 그리고 하부 구역에 이용되는 열가소성 발포체 재료 모두는 일반적으로 차량의 종방향으로 정렬되는 이방성 열가소성 발포체 재료를 포함하는 에너지 흡수 유닛.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 상부 구역의 내부 및 외부 영역, 그리고 하부 구역의 열가소성 발포체 재료는 0kg/m3보다 크고 320kg/m3 미만인 밀도를 갖는 에너지 흡수 유닛.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 열가소성 발포체 재료는 16kg/m3 내지 192kg/m3 의 밀도를 갖는 에너지 흡수 유닛.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 상부 구역의 내부 영역의 고밀도인 열가소성 발포체 재료는 ASTM D3575-93(서픽스 D)에 따라 측정할 때 25% 압축에서 170kPa 이상의 압축 응력을 갖는 에너지 흡수 유닛.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 열가소성 발포체 재료는, 하부 구역, 상부 구역의 내부 영역 및 상부 구역의 외부 영역을 위해 저밀도 폴리에틸렌, 고밀도 폴리에틸렌, 폴리프로필렌, 및 공중합체로부터 독립적으로 선택되며, 상기 공중합체는 에틸렌 또는 프로필렌, 및 에틸렌 또는 프로필렌과 공중합 가능한 모노에틸렌 불포화 단량체의 공중합체인 에너지 흡수 유닛.
- 제7항에 있어서, 상기 내부 영역, 외부 영역 또는 하부 구역 중 적어도 하나에 이용되는 열가소성 발포체 재료는 폴리프로필렌을 포함하는 에너지 흡수 유닛.
- 제8항에 있어서, 상기 내부 영역, 외부 영역 및 하부 구역에 이용되는 열가소성 발포체 재료는 폴리프로필렌을 포함하는 에너지 흡수 유닛.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 따른 에너지 흡수 유닛을 포함하는 차량.
