- a. (a) 환자의 무릎 관절 주변에 인가하기 위해 개조된 2개 이상의 전극, 및 (b) 환자의 무릎 관절 주변에 인가하기 위해 개조된 솔레노이드 또는 1개 이상의 코일 중 하나; 및b. 전극, 솔레노이드 또는 1개 이상의 코일에 인가하기 위한 전기 신호를 환자 무릎 관절의 크기에 따라 선택하여 환자 무릎 관절의 활막 및 관절 연골 내에 8 mV/cm 내지 360 mV/cm 범위의 전기장 및 8 μA/cm2 내지 300 μA/cm2 범위의 전류 밀도를 유발하는, 선택 조절기를 갖는 신호 발생기를 포함하는, 인간 무릎 관절의 환부 조직 또는 손상된 조직에 전기장 또는 전자기장을 인가함으로써 인간 무릎 관절에서의 환부 조직을 치료하기 위한 장치.
- a. 환자의 무릎 관절 주변에 인가하기 위해 개조된 (a) 2개 이상의 전극 및 (b) 솔레노이드 또는 1개 이상의 코일 중 하나; 및b. 전극, 솔레노이드 또는 1개 이상의 코일에 인가하기 위한 전기 신호를 환자 무릎 관절의 크기에 따라 선택하여 환자 무릎 관절의 활막 및 관절 연골 내에 8 mV/cm 내지 360 mV/cm 범위의 전기장 및 8 μA/cm2 내지 300 μA/cm2 범위의 전류 밀도를 유발하는, 선택 조절기를 갖는 신호 발생기를 포함하는, 인간 무릎 관절에서의 발병 조직에 전기장 또는 전자기장을 인가함으로써 인간 무릎 관절에서의 골관절염, 외상 또는 운동 중 부상으로 인한 연골 결함을 치료하거나 연골 결함을 치료하기 위한 다른 치료법에 보조물로 이용되는 장치.
- 제17항에 있어서, 신호 발생기가 인간 무릎 관절의 크기에 따라 이용자에 의해 선택된 전압을 갖는 다수의 출력 전기 신호 중 하나를 제공하는 것인 장치.
- 제18항에 있어서, 신호 발생기로부터 60 kHz 주파수로 제공된 다수의 출력 전기 신호 중 하나가 4.6 인치의 직경을 갖는 무릎 관절인 경우 4.6 Vp-p ± 10%의 전압을 갖는 것인 장치.
- 제18항에 있어서, 신호 발생기로부터 60 kHz 주파수로 제공된 다수의 출력 전기 신호 중 하나가 5.0 인치의 직경을 갖는 무릎 관절인 경우 5.0 Vp-p ± 10%의 전압을 갖는 것인 장치.
- 제18항에 있어서, 신호 발생기로부터 60 kHz 주파수로 제공된 다수의 출력 전기 신호 중 하나가 5.6 인치의 직경을 갖는 무릎 관절인 경우 5.6 Vp-p ± 10%의 전압을 갖는 것인 장치.
