- 약 60 kHz의 주파수를 갖는 하나 이상의 특이적이고 선택적인 신호를 발생시키고, 상기 하나 이상의 특이적이고 선택적인 신호의 적용 지속 시간 및(또는) 작업 사이클을 조절 및 변화시켜, 그로부터 발생되어 표적 조직에 가해지는 특이적이고 선택적인 필드장을 변화시키는 신호원, 및상기 신호원에 연결되어 상기 하나 이상의 특이적이고 선택적인 신호를 받고, 표적 조직에 대해 작동하도록 배치되며, 상기 하나 이상의 특이적이고 선택적인 신호를 받으면, mRNA로 측정했을 때 표적 조직 내에서 금속단백질분해효소의 유전자 발현을 하향조절하는데 특이적이고 선택적인, 약 10-20 mV/cm의 강도를 갖는 필드장을 표적 조직 내에서 발생시키는 필드장 발생 장치를 포함하는, 골관절염, 류마티스 관절염, 연골 손상 및(또는) 연골 결함의 치료용 장치.
- 제16항에 있어서, 상기 신호원을 구동하는 휴대용 전력 유닛을 추가로 포함하는 장치.
- 제16항에 있어서, 표적 조직 부근의 환자의 신체에 상기 필드장 발생 장치를 부착하는 수단을 추가로 포함하는 장치.
- 제16항에 있어서, 상기 신호원을 환자의 신체에 부착하는 수단을 추가로 포함하는 장치.
- 제16항에 있어서, 하나 이상의 특이적이고 선택적인 신호를 필드장 발생 장치에 가하여 발생된 필드장을, 전기용량적 커플링 또는 자기유도적 커플링으로 표적 조직에 가하는 수단을 추가로 포함하는 장치.
