Abstract

A rubber composition for adhesion of tire steel cords is provided to realize improved heat resistance and anti-aging property, and to improve the adhesion between steel cords and rubber during the long-term use under high temperature/humidity conditions. A rubber composition for adhesion of tire steel cords comprises base rubber, sulfur, zinc oxide and cobalt, and further comprises 0.5-5.0 parts by weight of an acrylate as an antioxidant based on 100 parts by weight of the base rubber. The base rubber includes natural rubber, synthetic rubber or a blend thereof. The rubber composition optionally further comprises conventional additives.
