The present invention relates to a rubber foam insulation for use in applications such as duct insulation, and more particularly to a colored rubber foam insulation having excellent heat insulation and flame retardancy.

The most widely used rubber foam insulation for duct insulation, etc. are Nitrile Butadiene Rubber foam insulation (hereinafter referred to as NBR rubber foam insulation) and Ethylene Propylene Diene (M-class) Monomer) foam insulation (hereinafter EPDM rubber foam insulation).

EPDM rubber foam insulation has the advantages of low cost but excellent heat insulation and heat resistance. In addition, NBR rubber foam insulation has the advantage of excellent heat insulation and workability and excellent flame retardancy.

Such rubber foam insulation is generally black. In recent years, colored rubber foam insulation having a specific color in addition to black has been developed due to improvement in appearance and statutory regulations. In the case of such colored rubber foam insulation, colored pigment is included in the rubber foam insulation material. However, in the case of a conventional colored rubber foam insulation, it is known that the thermal insulation is not good, because the colored pigment contained in the raw material acts as a factor for lowering the thermal insulation.

Accordingly, there is a need for a colored rubber foam insulation that can be colored while minimizing thermal deterioration.

In the case of a body part manufactured from a raw material having the composition, the elongation: 500% or more, tensile strength: 80 Kgf / cm 2 or more, and a limiting oxygen index (LOI): 30 or more.

Hereinafter, with respect to each component of the rubber foam insulation of the composition, its role and content based on the raw material will be described.

Polytetrafluoroethylene resins contribute to improved flame retardancy. It is preferable that the said polytetrafluoroethylene resin is added in 7-15 weight part with respect to 100 weight part of rubber raw materials. When the addition amount of polytetrafluoroethylene resin was less than 7 weight part, it was confirmed that flame retardance fell rapidly. On the contrary, when the addition amount of polytetrafluoroethylene resin exceeds 15 parts by weight, a heat shrinkage phenomenon occurs and there is a problem that the dimensional accuracy is lowered.

Diaminodiphenylmethane serves to complement the strength of rubber foam insulation. It is preferable that the said diamino diphenylmethane is contained in 5-20 weight part with respect to 100 weight part of rubber raw materials. When the content of diaminodiphenylmethane is less than 5 parts by weight, the effect of addition thereof is insufficient. On the other hand, when the content of diaminodiphenylmethane exceeds 20 parts by weight, the elongation may be drastically lowered.

The epoxy resin plays a role of improving the strength together with improving the bonding strength of each component included in the rubber foam insulation. Such epoxy resin can be used without limitation if it is a well-known epoxy resin, More preferably, the biphenyl type epoxy resin, bisphenol type epoxy resin, etc. which have two or more epoxy groups can be presented. It is preferable that the said epoxy resin is added at 2-6 weight part with respect to 100 weight part of rubber raw materials. When the content of the epoxy resin is less than 2 parts by weight, the addition effect is insufficient. On the contrary, when the content of the epoxy resin exceeds 6 parts by weight, the elongation may be sharply lowered.

Phosphate ester contributes to the improvement of flame retardancy and dispersibility. Such phosphate ester is preferably added in an amount of 1 to 4 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the rubber raw material. When the addition amount of phosphate ester is less than 1 weight part, the addition effect is inadequate. On the contrary, when the addition amount of phosphate ester exceeds 4 weight part, physical properties, such as intensity | strength, may fall.

Molybdenum oxide is added for the purpose of improving the flame retardancy of the foam insulation itself. It is preferable that the said molybdenum oxide is added at 3-7 weight part with respect to 100 weight part of rubber raw materials. When the added amount of molybdenum oxide is less than 3 parts by weight, the above effects cannot be exerted properly. On the contrary, when the addition amount of molybdenum oxide exceeds 7 parts by weight, it is possible to inhibit physical properties such as elongation without further addition effect.

Benzotriazole is added for the purpose of preventing discoloration. Such benzotriazole is preferably added in an amount of 8 to 14 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of NBR. If the amount of the benzotriazole added is less than 8 parts by weight, there is a problem of poor workability. On the contrary, when a large amount of benzotriazole is added in excess of 14 parts by weight, there is a problem in that foaming decrease due to benzotriazole occurs.

Talc is an inorganic filler, serves to improve heat resistance, and may have an average particle diameter of approximately 3 to 6 µm. The talc is preferably added in 4 to 7 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of NBR. If the addition amount of talc is less than 4 parts by weight, the effect of addition is insufficient. On the contrary, when the addition amount of talc exceeds 7 parts by weight, physical properties such as elongation may decrease.

In addition, the body portion 110 may further include 5 parts by weight or less of the acrylamide compound, based on 100 parts by weight of the NBR or EPDM. As a result of adding the acrylamide compound, the elongation was further improved without deteriorating other physical properties.

Such acrylamide compounds are (meth) acrylamide, N-methyl (meth) acrylamide, N-ethyl (meth) acrylamide, N, N-diethylacryl (meth) acrylamide, N, N-propyl (meth) Krillamide, N-isopropyl (meth) krylamide, monomethyl acrylamide, N, N-dimethyl acrylamide, N, N-dimethylaminopropyl acrylamide, etc. can be used 1 or more types. When the said acrylamide compound is added, it is preferable that the addition amount is 5 weight part or less with respect to 100 weight part of rubber raw materials. When the amount of the acrylamide compound added exceeds 5 parts by weight, the tensile strength may drop rapidly.

The rubber foam insulation having the composition may be prepared by a series of processes including raw material mixing step, aging step, extrusion step and foaming step.

In the raw material mixing step, the above-mentioned components of the rubber foam insulation and the blowing agent are mixed. The blowing agent may use various known blowing agents such as AC (Azodicarbonamide) blowing agent. It is preferable that the said foaming agent is added in 1-20 weight part with respect to 100 weight part of rubber raw materials. If the blowing agent content is less than 1 part by weight, the effect of addition thereof is insufficient. On the contrary, when the foaming agent content exceeds 20 parts by weight, bubbles may be formed inside the rubber foam insulation due to an increase in gas generation amount.

Next, in the aging step, the mixed raw materials are aged. This aging may be carried out for about 5 to 50 minutes at about 40 ~ 140 ℃.

Next, in the extrusion step, the aged raw material is extruded using an extrusion die.

Next, in the foaming step, the extruded raw material is foamed.

Foaming is generally a vulcanization process performed at about 80 to 110 ° C., a preliminary foaming process to be performed at about 115 to 130 ° C., the present foaming process to be performed at about 130 to 180 ° C., and foam maturation performed at about 150 to 170 ° C. The process is subdivided into, but not necessarily limited to, various processes and temperature conditions included in the foaming step may vary depending on the type of foaming agent or the characteristics of the foaming equipment.

점착부Adhesive

The adhesive part 120 is formed on the body part 110 and serves to adhere the body part 110 and the cover part 130.

The adhesive portion 120 is preferably formed of an adhesive having excellent flame retardancy. In the present invention, the pressure-sensitive adhesive portion 120 was formed of a pressure-sensitive adhesive containing slaked lime added at 20 to 30 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of the acrylic resin, and as a result, excellent adhesiveness and flame retardancy could be ensured.

More specifically, the adhesive portion 120 is 100 parts by weight of acrylic resin, 30 to 50 parts by weight of terpene phenol resin, 20 to 30 parts by weight of slaked lime, 5 to 10 parts by weight of triphenyl phosphate, 3 to 5 parts by weight of zinc oxide, poly It may be formed of an adhesive including 4 to 8 parts by weight of dimethylsiloxane.

At this time, when the amount of added slaked lime was less than 20 parts by weight, the effect of improving flame retardancy was somewhat insufficient. On the other hand, when the amount of added slaked lime exceeds 30 parts by weight, the flame retardancy is excellent but the adhesion is insufficient, the phenomenon that the body portion 110 and the cover portion 130 may be peeled off.

In addition, when the terpene phenol resin is less than 30 parts by weight, the thermosetting characteristics of the pressure-sensitive adhesive is insufficient, when the terpene phenol resin exceeds 50 parts by weight, there is a problem that the flame retardancy is lowered.

In the case of triphenyl phosphate, zinc oxide and polydimethylsiloxane, it was added to improve the flame retardancy or adhesiveness, and if it does not reach the above-mentioned addition amount, the flame retardancy or adhesion improvement was insufficient, and on the contrary, when it was out of the above-mentioned addition amount, Although this improves, the adhesiveness is lowered or the adhesiveness is improved, but there is a problem that the flame retardancy is lowered.

커버부Cover

Cover portion 130 is formed on the adhesive portion 120, so that the colored rubber foam insulation according to the present invention exhibits a specific color in addition to black. To this end, the cover portion 130 is formed of an NBR rubber foam insulation or EPDM rubber foam insulation to which the colored pigment is added.

At this time, the cover 130 is preferably formed to have a thickness of 2 ~ 10mm. If the thickness of the cover portion 130 is too thin, less than 2mm, in some cases black of the body portion 110 may affect the appearance, so that the color expressed by the colored pigment may not be clearly revealed. have. On the contrary, when the thickness of the cover part 130 exceeds 10 mm, heat insulation may be reduced.

The cover part 130 may use a color pigment further added in an amount of 5 to 15 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of NBR or EPDM to the rubber foam insulation for forming the body part 110. More specifically, the cover portion 130 is 100 parts by weight of NBR or EPDM, 7 to 15 parts by weight of polytetrafluoroethylene, 5 to 20 parts by weight of diaminodiphenylmethane, 2 to 6 parts by weight of epoxy resin, 1 to phosphate ester 4 parts by weight, 3.0 to 7.0 parts by weight of molybdenum oxide, 8 to 14 parts by weight of benzotriazole, 4 to 7 parts by weight of talc, and 5 to 15 parts by weight of a pigment. In addition, the cover part 130 may further include 5 parts by weight or less of the acrylamide compound, based on 100 parts by weight of the NBR or EPDM.

As the colored pigment, a red pigment or a gray pigment may be used, but is not necessarily limited thereto. The amount of the colored pigment added in the cover 130 is preferably added in an amount of 5 to 15 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of NBR or EPDM. When the added amount of the colored pigment is less than 5 parts by weight, the desired color expression may be insufficient. On the contrary, when the added amount of the colored pigment exceeds 15 parts by weight, physical properties such as heat insulation may be lowered.

In the case of conventional colored rubber foam insulation, it is simply formed of rubber foam insulation with the addition of colored pigments. Generally, in the case of a colored pigment, it acts as a factor which lowers heat insulation. In order to produce colored rubber foam insulation having a desired color, a large amount of colored pigments can be added. Therefore, in the case of the colored rubber foam heat insulating material of a normal single layer structure, high heat insulation is hard to be exhibited.

However, in the case of the colored rubber foam insulation according to the present invention, the body portion 110 and the cover portion 130 have a structure that is adhered by the adhesive portion 120 in a separate state. In addition, in the case of the colored rubber foam insulation according to the present invention, the colored pigment is formed only in the cover portion 130. As a result, by including the colored pigment in the cover portion 130, it is possible to exhibit a desired color in appearance, while minimizing the reduction in thermal insulation performance without including the colored pigment in the body portion 110.

Figure 2 schematically shows a colored rubber foam insulation according to another embodiment of the present invention.

In the case of the colored rubber foam insulation shown in FIG. 2, as in the example shown in FIG. 1, the body part 110, the adhesive part 120, and the cover part 130 are included. However, in the case of the colored rubber foam insulation shown in Figure 2, the second adhesive portion 140 and the release paper 150 further includes.

The second adhesive part 140 is formed on the lower surface of the body portion 110 to attach the colored rubber foam insulation according to the present invention to a portion requiring heat insulation such as a duct.

Like the adhesive portion 120 described above, the second adhesive portion 140 is preferably formed of an adhesive containing slaked lime added in an amount of 20 to 30 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of an acrylic resin having excellent flame retardancy.

More specifically, the second adhesive part 140 is 100 parts by weight of acrylic resin, 30 to 50 parts by weight of terpene phenol resin, 20 to 30 parts by weight of slaked lime, 5 to 10 parts by weight of triphenyl phosphate, and 3 to 5 parts by weight of zinc oxide. It may be formed of an adhesive including 4 to 8 parts by weight of polydimethylsiloxane.

Release paper 150 is formed on the lower surface of the second adhesive portion 140 serves to protect the second adhesive portion 140.

2. Property evaluation

About the colored rubber foam heat insulating material which concerns on Examples 1-2 and the comparative example 1, the physical property of the duct insulation film was evaluated by the following method.

1) Tensile strength and elongation

Tensile strength and elongation were measured according to IEC-60811-1-1.

2) marginal oxygen index

In accordance with ASTM D 2863, limiting oxygen index (Limiting Oxygen Index; LOI) was measured to evaluate the smoke inhibition.

3) flame retardant

Class "0", "1", "2" in accordance with the international flame retardant standards BS 476 Part-6, etc., and when the class "0" is the best flame retardancy.

4) heat insulation

Table 1 shows the physical property evaluation results for the colored rubber foam insulation according to Examples 1 and 2 and Comparative Example 1.

[표 1][Table 1]

Figure 112012102813912-pat00001
Figure 112012102813912-pat00001

In the case of the colored rubber foam insulation according to Example 1 consisting of a body portion, an adhesive portion, and a cover portion, the colored rubber foam insulation according to Comparative Example 1 formed as a single layer did not show a significant difference in strength and flame retardancy.

However, in the case of the colored rubber foam insulation according to Example 1, the thermal insulation was much superior to the colored rubber foam insulation according to Comparative Example 1 by showing a lower thermal conductivity.
