- 담체 표면에 귀금속 담지 촉매 슬러리를 코팅하는 코팅 과정을 포함하는 자동차용 삼원촉매의 제조방법에 있어서,상기 코팅 과정에서, 담체의 일측 단부를 로듐 담지 촉매 슬러리에 담근 후 반대측 단부에서 흡입기를 이용해 부압을 걸어주어 로듐 담지 촉매 슬러리를 담체 절반까지 코팅하는 제1코팅 단계와;상기 담체를 180°회전시켜 코팅되지 않은 나머지 절반쪽 단부를 상기 로듐 담지 촉매 슬러리에 담근 후 반대측 단부에서 흡입기를 이용해 담체의 나머지 절반에 로듐 담지 촉매 슬러리를 코팅하는 제2코팅 단계와;상기 제2코팅 단계를 거친 담체의 일측 단부를 팔라듐 및 백금 중 적어도 하나 이상의 귀금속이 담지된 팔라듐/백금 담지 촉매 슬러리에 담근 후 반대측 단부에서 흡입기를 이용해 담체 소정 영역까지 팔라듐 또는 백금 담지 촉매 슬러리를 추가 코팅하는 제3코팅 단계;의 순으로 진행하여, 담체 전측부는 로듐 담지 촉매층과 팔라듐/백금 담지 촉매층이 적층된 2중층 코팅구조로, 담체의 나머지 후측부는 로듐 담지 촉매층만이 적층된 단일층 코팅구조로 코팅하여 제조하는 것을 특징으로 하는 불균일 2중층 코팅구조의 삼원촉매 제조방법.
- 청구항 3에 있어서,상기 제3코팅 단계에서 상기 팔라듐/백금 담지 촉매 슬러리를 담체 전체 영역에 대해 40% ~ 95% 범위로 코팅하는 것을 특징으로 하는 불균일 2중층 코팅구조의 삼원촉매 제조방법.
