Claims (11)
- 반사전극 및 하부배향막을 구비한 하부기판과, 컬러필터 및 상부배향막을 구비한 상부기판과, 상부 및 하부기판 사이에 개재된 액정층과, 상기 상부기판 및 하부기판의 외측면 상에 배치되며 선편광을 원편광으로 변환시키는 각각의 상부 및 하부 위상필름과, 상기 상부 및 하부 위상필름 상에 외부로부터 입사된 자연광을 선편광으로 변환시키는 각각의 상부 및 하부 편광판이 부착된 반투과형 액정표시장치에 있어서,상기 액정층의 위상지연값(dΔn)은 0.24∼0.27㎛이며,상기 상부 위상필름은 λ/4 위상보상 기능을 가지면서 광축이 140∼146°이고,상기 상부배향막의 배향각도는 수평라인에 대해 40∼50°이며,상기 하부배향막의 배향각도는 수평라인에 대해 -10∼-20°이고,상기 상부 편광판의 투과축 각도는 104∼122.5°인 반사형 액정표시영역과,상기 반사전극이 없는 상기 상부 및 하부기판 사이에서상기 액정층의 위상지연값(dΔn)은 0.24∼0.40㎛이며,상기 하부 위상필름은 λ/4 위상보상 기능을 가지면서 광축이 50∼64°이고,상기 하부 편광판의 투과축 각도는 100∼110°인 투과형 액정표시영역을 구비한 것을 특징으로 하는 반투과형 액정표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 반사형 액정표시영역과 투과형 액정표시영역의 비율은 5:5인 것을 특징으로 하는 반투과형 액정표시장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 상부 위상필름의 위상값은 상기 하부 위상필름보다 5nm큰 것을 특징으로 하는 반투과형 액정표시장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 상부 및 하부 편광판은 반반사 처리된 것을 특징으로 하는 반투과형 액정표시장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 상부 및 하부 편광판은 반반사 및 안티-글레어(anti-glare)처리된 것을 특징으로 하는 반투과형 액정표시장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 액정층은 트위스트각이 60°인 트위스트 네마틱 액정들로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는 반투과형 액정표시장치.
- 반사전극 및 하부배향막을 구비한 하부기판과, 컬러필터 및 상부배향막을 구비한 상부기판과, 상부 및 하부기판 사이에 개재된 액정층과, 상기 하부기판의 외측면 상에 배치되어 선편광을 원편광으로 변환시키는 하부 위상필름과, 상기 상부기판 및 하부 위상필름 상에 외부로부터 입사된 자연광을 선편광으로 변환시키는 각각의 상부 및 하부편광판이 부착된 반투과형 액정표시장치에 있어서,상기 액정층의 위상지연값(dΔn)은 0.24∼0.27㎛이며,상기 상부배향막의 배향각도는 수평라인에 대해 40∼50°이며,상기 하부배향막의 배향각도는 수평라인에 대해 -10∼-20°이고,상기 상부 편광판의 투과축 각도는 104∼122.5°인 반사형 액정표시영역과,상기 반사전극이 없는 상기 상부 및 하부기판 사이에서상기 액정층의 위상지연값(dΔn)은 0.24∼0.40㎛이며,상기 하부 위상필름은 λ/4 위상보상 기능을 가지면서 광축이 50∼64°이고,상기 하부 편광판의 투과축 각도는 100∼110°인 투과형 액정표시영역을 구비하며,상기 상부기판은 λ/4 위상보상 기능을 가지면서 550nm에서 원편광을 나타내는 유리기판인 것을 특징으로 하는 반투과형 액정표시장치.
- 제 7항에 있어서, 상기 반사형 액정표시영역과 투과형 액정표시영역의 비율은 5:5인 것을 특징으로 하는 반투과형 액정표시장치.
- 제 7항에 있어서, 상기 하부 위상필름의 위상값은 λ/4 위상필름의 광축을 85∼100°로 하고, λ/2 위상필름의 광축을 5∼20°로 하여 배열해서 얻는 것을 특징으로 하는 반투과형 액정표시장치.
- 삭제
- 제 7항에 있어서, 상기 액정층은 트위스트각이 60°인 트위스트 네마틱 액정들로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는 반투과형 액정표시장치.
