- 삭제
- 소정 거리를 두고 대향하는 상,하부 기판;상기 상하부 기판 사이에 개재되며, 수개의 액정 분자를 포함하는 액정층;상기 하부 기판의 내측면에 배치되며, 전압 인가시 프린지 필드를 형성하여 상기 액정 분자를 동작시키는 카운터 전극과 화소 전극;상기 하부 기판과 액정층 사이 및 상부 기판과 액정층 사이에 각각 개재되며, 러빙축을 갖는 상하 수평 배향막;상기 상부 기판 외측면에 배치되며, 소정의 편광축을 갖는 편광자;상기 하부 기판의 외측면에 배치되는 λ/4판; 및상기 λ/4판 외측면에 배치되는 반사판;을 포함하며,상기 편광자의 편광축은 상하 수평 배향막의 러빙축과 10 내지 40°의 각을 이루고,상기 λ/4판의 패스트축은 상기 편광판의 편광축과 45°를 이루며,상기 액정층의 위상 지연값은 입사광 파장의 2분의 1값을 가지고,상기 프린지 필드를 형성하기 위한 전압은 상기 액정 분자의 광축이 상기 편광축과 일치될 정도로 트위스트 될 만큼인 것을 특징으로 하는 반사형 프린지 필드 구동 액정 표시 장치.
- 제 2 항에 있어서, 상기 편광판의 편광축은 상하 수평 배향막의 러빙축과 22.5°를 이루는 것을 특징으로 하는 반사형 프린지 필드 구동 액정 표시 장치.
- 제 2 항에 있어서, 상기 위상 지연값은 0.1 내지 0.4㎛인 것을 특징으로 하 는 반사형 프린지 필드 구동 액정 표시 장치.
