Abstract

A composition for preventing hair loss and promoting hair growth is provided to clean and sterilize the scalp, protect the hair from outer environments, restore damaged hairs by supplying nutrients into the hairs, promote activation of hair root cells, and prevent hair loss by improving blood circulation of capillary vessel and controlling male hormone. The composition for preventing hair loss and promoting hair growth comprises the Hena(Lawsonia alba) extract, Emblica officinalis extract, Pueraria thunbergiana extract and Zingiber officinale extract, wherein the amount of Hena(Lawsonia alba) extract is 0.01-15 wt.% based on the total weight of solid contents in the composition; the composition further comprises Acorus var. calamus var. angustatus extract and green tea extract having inhibitory activity of 5 alpha-reductase; the amount of Acorus var. calamus var. angustatus extract and green tea extract is 0.01-15 wt.% based on the total weight of solid contents in the composition; and the composition further comprises the pine leaf extract.
