Claims (52)
- 경화성 광학 에폭시와 반응성 메소겐의 균질한 혼합물로부터 형성되는,등방성의 투명하고 비복굴절성인 경화된 중합체 필름을 포함하는 액정 디스플레이용 배향막(alignment layer)으로서,등방성의 투명하고 비복굴절성인 중합체 필름을 구성하는 상기 에폭시와 반응성 메소겐의 경화된 혼합물은 경화된 광학 에폭시 내에 무작위로 배향된 중합된 액정 분자를 포함하고, 등방성의 투명하고 비복굴절성인 중합체 필름의 노출 표면에서 상기 중합된 액정 분자가 후속 배향될 수 있는 것인 배향막.
- 제1항에 있어서, 혼합물이 폴리이미드를 함유하지 않는 것인 배향막.
- 제1항에 있어서, 에폭시가 UV 경화성인 것인 배향막.
- 제1항에 있어서, 혼합물이 광개시제를 더 포함하는 것인 배향막.
- 제4항에 있어서, 혼합물이 열 억제제를 더 포함하는 것인 배향막.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 에폭시가 등방성 배향막의 10∼80 중량%를 이루는 것인 배향막.
- 제1항에 있어서, 경화된 중합체 필름 내에 무작위로 배향된 액정 분자는, 필름을 러빙하면 방위각으로 배향될 수 있는 것인 배향막.
- 제1항에 있어서, 반응성 메소겐이 UV 경화성 모노아크릴레이트 또는 디아크릴레이트 단량체 또는 올리고머인 것인 배향막.
- 제1항에 있어서, 경화된 중합체 필름은, 액정 디바이스 상에 코팅된 다른 층을 손상시키지 않는 용매 중에 용해된 광학 에폭시 및 반응성 메소겐으로부터 형성되는 것인 배향막.
- 제9항에 있어서, 용매가 케톤인 것인 배향막.
- 제9항에 있어서, 용매는 시클로헥사논, 메틸에틸케톤, 아세톤, 시클로펜타논, 톨루엔 및 클로로벤젠으로 구성된 군에서 선택되는 것인 배향막.
