Claims (14)
- 내연기관과, 내연기관으로부터 배출되는 배출 가스 중의 입자상 물질을 포착하는 필터와, 상기 배출 가스를 상기 필터에 도입하는 배기관을 포함하는 배출 가스 정화 시스템으로서,상기 배출 가스 정화 시스템은 상기 필터에 의해 포착된 입자상 물질을 간헐적으로 연소시키는 연소 수단을 구비하고, 상기 필터는 적어도 2개의 단부면과, 하나의 단부면으로부터 다른 단부면까지 연장되는 다공질의 격벽과, 상기 격벽에 의해 구획되고, 하나의 단부면으로부터 다른 단부면까지 관통하는 다수의 유통 구멍을 가지며, 하나의 단부면에서 소정의 유통 구멍이 밀봉되어 있고, 다른 단부면에서 나머지 소정의 유통 구멍이 밀봉되어 있는 허니콤 필터이며, 상기 격벽 두께를 (X)㎛, 상기 유통 구멍의 길이 방향에 대한 수직 단면에 있어서의 단위 면적당 유통 구멍수를 (Y)개/㎠로 하면, X가 330, Y가 42.7인 점, X가 356, Y가 34.9인 점, X가 406, Y가 34.9인 점, X가 381, Y가 42.7인 점을 이 순서로 연결하는 직선으로 둘러싸인 범위 내에 있고, 필터 내의 최대 온도 구배가 180 ℃/㎝ 이하인 것인 배출 가스 정화 시스템.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 내연기관은 디젤 엔진인 것인 배출 가스 정화 시스템.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 연소 수단은 필터에 의해 포착된 입자상 물질의 연소를 개시하도록 상기 배출 가스의 온도를 상승시키는 배출 가스 승온 수단을 포함하는 것인 배출 가스 정화 시스템.
- 제3항에 있어서, 상기 배출 가스 승온 수단은 상기 내연기관으로의 연료 공급 시기를 조정하는 조정 장치를 포함하는 것인 배출 가스 정화 시스템.
- 제3항에 있어서, 상기 배출 가스 승온 수단은 상기 배기관 내로 연료를 공급하는 공급 장치를 포함하는 것인 배출 가스 정화 시스템.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 필터에 의해 포착된 입자상 물질의 연소 온도를 저하시키는 수단을 더 포함하는 배출 가스 정화 시스템.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 필터에 의해 포착된 입자상 물질의 연소를 촉진시키는 수단을 더 포함하는 배출 가스 정화 시스템.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 필터는 세라믹 재료를 주성분으로 하는 것인 배출 가스 정화 시스템.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 필터는 복수 개의 허니콤 구조의 세그먼트를 일체화시켜 이루어지는 것인 배출 가스 정화 시스템.
- 적어도 2개의 단부면과, 하나의 단부면으로부터 다른 단부면까지 연장되는 다공질의 격벽과, 상기 격벽에 의해 구획되어 하나의 단부면으로부터 다른 단부면까지 관통하는 다수의 유통 구멍을 가지며, 하나의 단부면에서 소정의 유통 구멍이 밀봉되어 있고, 다른 단부면에서 나머지 소정의 유통 구멍이 밀봉되어 있는 허니콤 필터의 압력 손실의 산출 방법으로서, 상기 압력 손실을, 밀봉부에서의 압력 손실, 유통 구멍 내의 압력 손실 및 격벽에서의 압력 손실로 적어도 분해하고, 상기 격벽에서의 압력 손실을 상기 필터 내에 입자상 물질이 퇴적되지 않은 경우의 압력 손실과 퇴적되어 있는 경우의 압력 손실로 분해하여 산출하는 것인 압력 손실의 산출 방법.
- 제10항에 있어서, 소정의 필터 내에 입자상 물질을 퇴적시켰을 때의 압력 손실을 측정하고, 얻어진 압력 손실의 증가 거동을 커브 피팅(curve fitting)시킴으로써 얻어진 식에 기초하여, 필터 내에 입자상 물질이 퇴적되고 있는 경우에 격벽에서의 압력 손실을 산출하는 것인 압력 손실의 산출 방법.
- 필터의 제조 방법으로서, 제10항에 따른 압력 손실의 산출 방법에 의해 얻어진 압력 손실값을 이용하여 필터의 형상을 결정하는 것인 필터의 제조 방법.
- 필터의 제조 방법으로서, 제11항에 따른 압력 손실의 산출 방법에 의해 얻어진 압력 손실값을 이용하여 필터의 형상을 결정하는 것인 필터의 제조 방법.
