Abstract

본 발명은 니켈-티타늄 합금을 사용한 치과용 리머의 제조방법에 관한 것으로, 상기 치과용 리머는 원통형의 금속재로 제조되며, 회전 숫돌차에 대하여 이송속도 VA 로 이동되며, 또한 회전 숫돌차에 의해 로드를 연삭하는 선속도 VL 은 디스크의 직경을 가변시켜 결정하는 제조방법에 있어서,
- 상기 연삭하는 선속도 VL 을 91440 cm/분 보다 크게 하며,
- 상기 이송 속도 VA 를 7.62 cm/분 보다 작게 하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
본 발명은 또한 상기 방법으로 제조된 치과용 리머에 관한 것이다.

Description

니켈-티타늄 합금으로 치과용 리머를 제조하는 방법 및 그 방법에 따라 제조된 치과용 리머{METHOD FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF DENTAL REAMERS FROM NICKEL-TITANIUM ALLOY AND DENTAL REAMERS THUS OBTAINED}
본 발명은 니켈-티타늄 합금(NITI 라는 이름으로 공지되어 있음)을 사용한 치과용 리머(dental reamer)의 제조 방법에 관한 것이다.
상기한 종류의 치과용 리머는, 주로, 적어도 40%의 티타늄(이 비율은 특정한 것은 아님)으로 이루어지는 원통형의 금속재(metallic blank; 金屬材)로 제조된다.
금속재의 로드(rod)는 회전 숫돌차(grinding wheel; 砥石車)에 대하여 이송속도 VA 로 이동된다. 회전 숫돌차에 의해 로드를 연삭하는 선속도 VL 은 디스크의 직경을 가변시켜 결정한다.
다른 중요한 파라미터는 숫돌차의 그릿 사이즈(grit size) DG 이다. 이 경우에, 숫돌차에는 대개 다이아몬드-날붙이(diamond-tipped) 연마 휠이 이용된다.
미국특허 제5,464,362호에는 이러한 형태의 방법이 개시되어 있지만,
- 이송속도 VA 는 7.62 내지 20.32 cm/분 이며,
- 그릿 사이즈 DG 는 200 그릿 이상이다.
그리고, 놀랍게도, 상기 선행기술인 미국특허에 개시된 방법에서는, 완전한 모순이지만, 최적조건으로서 전혀 반대의 작동조건이 같은 결과를 발생시키고 있다.
여기서, 본 발명은, 상기 종래의 문제점을 해결할 수 있는 치과용 리머의 제조방법 및 치과용 리머를 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다.
상기 목적을 달성하기 위하여, 본 발명은, 원통형의 금속재로 제조되며, 회전 숫돌차에 대하여 이송 속도 VA 로 이동되며, 또한 회전 숫돌차에 의해 로드를 연삭하는 선속도 VL 은 디스크의 직경을 가변시켜 결정하는, 니켈-티타늄 합금을 이용하여 치과용 리머의 제조 방법으로서,
- 상기 연삭하는 선속도 VL 은 91440 cm/분 보다 크게 하며,
- 상기 이송 속도 VA 를 7.62 cm/분 보다 작게 하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
상기 회전 숫돌차의 입자는 46 μ이상의 그릿 사이즈를 지니는 것이 유리하다.
바람직한 변형 실시예에 따르면, 상기 숫돌차는 다이어몬드-날붙이 숫돌차로 될 것이다.
최적의 경우에 있어서, 상기 파라미터들은 다음과 같이 될 것이다.
- VL = 2213 m/분
- VA = 3.2 cm/분
상기 최적의 파라미터에서는 치과용 리머의 제조에 있어서 치과용 리머의 기하학적 데이터를 고려하면서도 치과용 리머의 생산성 및 치과용 리머의 표면 거칠기 사이의 균형이 최적으로 이루어질 수 있다.
물론, 본 발명의 방법을 실행하기 위한 모든 다른 요소는 선행기술의 방법과 동일하다.
본 발명에 따른 치과용 리머의 제조방법은, 이상 설명한 것과 같으므로, 모순이 없는 최적의 작동조건으로 니켈-티타늄 합금을 사용한 치과용 리머를 제조할 수 있다.

Claims (3)

  1. 원통형의 금속재로 제조되며, 그 원통형 금속재는 회전 숫돌차에 대하여 이송 속도 VA 로 이동되며, 또한 회전 숫돌차에 의해 물질이 연삭되는 선속도 VL 은 회전 숫돌차의 디스크의 직경을 가변시켜 결정하는, 니켈-티타늄 합금을 이용하여 치과용 리머의 제조 방법에 있어서,
    - 상기 연삭하는 선속도 VL은 2213 m/분이고,
    - 상기 이송 속도 VA는 3.2 cm/분인 것을 특징으로 하는 치과용 리머의 제조방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 회전 숫돌차의 입자는 46 μ이상의 그릿 사이즈를 지니는 것을 특징으로 하는 치과용 리머의 제조방법.
  3. 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 숫돌차는 다이아몬드-날붙이 숫돌차로 되는 것을 특징으로 하는 치과용 리머의 제조방법.
