Abstract

본 발명은 증류에 의해 6-아미노카프로니트릴 및 이민 (II)을 함유하는 혼합물 (I)로부터 6-아미노카프로니트릴을 분리하는 방법에 관한 것이다. 상기 방법은 증류가 이산화탄소의 존재하에 일어나는 것을 특징으로 한다.

하기 표 1에 기재된 THA 함량 (혼합물 기준, 중량% 단위)을 갖는 6-아미노카프로니트릴을 증류탑 (직경 43 mm, 높이 2.4 m, 슐처 (Sulzer) CY 직물 충전물, 이론 단수 22)에서 환류비 5:1로 회분식 분별 증류시켰다. 정제된 6-아미노카프로니트릴을 증류물로서 수득하였다. 그 결과를 하기 표 1에 기록한다.

본 발명은 6-아미노카프로니트릴 및 이민 (II)을 포함하는 혼합물 (I)로부터 6-아미노카프로니트릴을 증류 분리하는 방법에 관한 것이다.
니켈, 코발트, 철, 로듐 또는 루테늄과 같은 금속 기재 촉매의 존재하에 아디포니트릴을 6-아미노카프로니트릴로 부분 수소화시키는 것은 일반적으로 예를 들어, EP-A-161 419호, 동 제77 911호, US-A-4,389,348호, 동 제4,601,859호, WO 제93/1207호, DE-A 제42 35 466호, 동 제19 500 222호 및 독일 특허 출원 제19 548 289.1호로부터 공지되어 있다.
부산물에는 이민, 구체적으로는 하기 화학식 1의 테트라히드로아제핀 (THA)이 포함된다.
6-아미노카프로니트릴은 주로 중간체로서 카프롤락탐을 경유하거나 또는 나일론-6으로 직접 중합시켜 섬유를 제조하는 데 사용된다. 이 경우, 6-아미노카프로니트릴은 매우 순수해야 하며, 이와 관련하여 THA의 제거가 문제점을 제공하는 것으로 공지되어 있다.

EP-A-497 333호에는 6-아미노카프로니트릴 및 THA를 포함하는 혼합물을 알칼리 화합물과 반응시키는 방법이 기재되어 있다. 불리하게는, 알칼리 화합물은 과량의 화학양론적 요구량으로 사용되어야 하고, 6-아미노카프로니트릴은 크게 경감된 압력에서 생성된 반응 혼합물로부터 증류제거되어야 한다는 것이다.
본 발명의 목적은 상술한 단점들을 극복함으로써 6-아미노카프로니트릴 및 THA를 주성분으로 하는 혼합물로부터 6-아미노카프로니트릴을 제거하는 데 기술적으로 간단하고 경제적인 방법을 제공하는 것이다.
본 발명자들은 이 목적이 이산화탄소의 존재하에 증류를 수행하는 것을 포함하는, 6-아미노카프로니트릴 및 이민 (II)을 포함하는 혼합물 (I)로부터 6-아미노카프로니트릴을 증류 분리하는 방법에 의해 달성된다는 것을 드디어 발견하였다.
혼합물 (I)은 예를 들어, EP-A-161 419호, 동 제77 911호, US-A-4,389,348호, 동 제4,601,859호, WO 제93/1207호, DE-A 제42 35 466호, 동 제19 500 222호 및 독일 특허 출원 제19 548 289.1호에 기재된 방법에 따라 ADN의 부분 수소화에 의한 통상적인 방식으로, 일반적으로 니켈, 코발트, 철, 로듐 또는 루테늄 함유 촉매의 존재하에 수소화를 수행함으로써 수득될 수 있다. 촉매는 지지되거나 또는 지지되지 않은 촉매로서 사용될 수 있다. 촉매 지지체에는 예를 들어, 산화알루미늄, 이산화규소, 이산화티타늄, 산화마그네슘, 활성탄 및 스피넬이 포함된다. 지지되지 않은 촉매의 예로는 라니 니켈 및 라니 코발트가 있다.
수소화에 의해 ADN과 함께 또는 ADN 없이 6-아미노카프로니트릴, HMD 및 이민 (II)을 포함하는 혼합물이 제공된다. 이 혼합물로부터 예를 들어, 증류에 의해 6-아미노카프로니트릴 및 이민 (II)을 주성분으로 하는 혼합물 (I)을 수득하는 것이 가능하다.
이민 (II)은 적합하게는 방향족, 바람직하게는 지방족, 예컨대 비환식 또는 특히 환식 이민, 및 또한 이들의 혼합물, 특히 바람직하게는 THA로부터 선택된다.
이민 (II)은 개별적인 화합물 또는 부가물로서 예를 들어, 6-아미노카프로니트릴과 같은 아민과의 혼합물로 존재할 수 있으며, 이 경우 이들 부가물로는 본 명세서에서와 마찬가지로 이민 (II)이 있다.
이산화탄소는 증류 전 또는 바람직하게는 증류 동안 증류 조건하에 이산화탄소를 방출하는 화합물, 예컨대 암모늄 카보네이트, 암모늄 카바메이트 또는 우레아, 또는 이들의 혼합물의 형태로 증류 혼합물에 첨가될 수 있으며, 이 경우 이들 화합물은 혼합물 (I)의 1종 이상의 구성성분으로서 순수한 형태 또는 액상 희석제로, 또는 고상물 또는 액상물 형태로, 바람직하게는 기상 이산화탄소, 예를 들어 이산화탄소를 포함하는 기체의 형태로, 또는 특히 단지 통상의 불순물만을 포함하는 순수한 기상 이산화탄소의 형태로 첨가될 수 있다.
증류 혼합물의 이산화탄소 함량은 유리하게는 이민 (II)의 이민 관능기 1 몰 당 이산화탄소 0.1 내지 1 몰내에 들어야 한다.
일반적으로, 이민 1 kg 당 표준 0.022 내지 0.22 m3가 이 목적을 위해 고려된다.
적합한 증류 장치에는 예를 들어, 문헌 (Kirk-Othmer, Encyclopedia of Chemical Technology, 3rd Ed., Vol. 7, John Wiley & Sons, New York, 1979, pages 870-881)에 기재된 통상의 장치, 예컨대 밸브 플레이트 (valve plate) 칼럼, 시브 플레이트 (sieve plate) 칼럼, 또는 쏟아부어지거나 또는 정렬된 상태로 충전물이 충전된 칼럼이 포함된다.
증류는 유리하게는 10 내지 100 mbar, 바람직하게는 20 내지 50 mbar내에서 수행된다.

Claims (9)

  1. 이산화탄소의 존재하에 증류를 수행하는 것을 포함하는, 6-아미노카프로니트릴 및 이민 (II)을 포함하는 혼합물 (I)로부터 6-아미노카프로니트릴을 증류 분리하는 방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 이민 (II)이 환식 이민인 방법.
  3. 제1 또는 2항에 있어서, 이민 (II)이 테트라히드로아제핀인 방법.
  4. 제1 또는 2항에 있어서, 증류 혼합물의 이산화탄소 함량이 이민 (II)의 이민 관능기 1 몰 당 이산화탄소 0.1 내지 1 몰의 범위내인 방법.
  5. 제1 또는 2항에 있어서, 이산화탄소를 포함하는 기체가 증류 동안 증류 칼럼 내로 도입되는 방법.
  6. 제1 또는 2항에 있어서, 증류가 10 내지 100 mbar 범위내에서 수행되는 방법.
  7. 제1 또는 2항에 있어서, 증류 조건하에 이산화탄소를 방출하는 화합물 (III)이 증류 혼합물에 첨가되는 방법.
  8. 제1 또는 2항에 있어서, 화합물 (III)이 우레아, 암모늄 카보네이트, 암모늄 카바메이트 또는 이들의 혼합물인 방법.
  9. 제6항에 있어서, 증류가 20 내지 50 mbar 범위내에서 수행되는 방법.
