- OCB형 액정 표시 장치에 있어서,복수의 장방형 화소 영역 - 이들 각각은 평행하게 배열된 복수의 주사선들 중 하나 및 절연층을 통해 상기 복수의 주사선과 교차하는 복수의 신호선들 중 하나로 둘러싸이며, 화소 전극 및 박막 트랜지스터를 포함하여 이루어짐 -을 포함하는 액티브 매트릭스 기판, 및 공통 전극이 설치된 투명 기판을 대향시키고 그들 사이에 액정을 삽입하여 조립되며, 상기 액티브 매트릭스 기판의 대향 표면과 상기 투명 기판의 대향 표면은 동일한 배향 방향을 갖도록 처리되며, 상기 신호선이나 상기 주사선 사이에 전계를 형성할 수 있는 보상 전극을 상기 화소의 상기 주사선과 상기 신호선 사이에서 상기 주사선이나 상기 신호선의 것과 동일한 층 내에 형성하는 OCB형 액정 표시 장치.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기 보상 전극은 인접한 화소 영역의 화소 전극과 중첩하도록 형성되는 OCB형 액정 표시 장치.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기 보상 전극은 인접 화소 영역의 주사선에 접속하도록 형성되는 OCB형 액정 표시 장치.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기 보상 전극은 인접 화소 영역의 주사선에 접속하도록 형성되는 OCB형 액정 표시 장치.
