Claims (10)
- 기지국(base station)에 관한 구성 파라메터(configuration parameters)를 수신하는 이동국(mobile station)을 기상(wake up)시킬지를 판정하기 위한 방법에 있어서,유휴 핸드오프에 관여하여 상기 핸드오프의 결과로 상기 기지국에 할당하는 단계와,상기 이동국에서 상기 기지국에 관한 구성 변동 표시자(configuation change indicator)를 수신하는 단계와,상기 구성 변동 표시자가 상기 기지국의 구성 파라메터에서의 변동을 표시하는지를 판정하는 단계와,상기 구성 변동 표시자가 상기 기지국의 구성 파라메터에서의 변동을 표시하지 않는 경우에, 저장된 구성 파라메터를 갱신하지 않고 수면 상태로 가는 단계와,상기 구성 변동 표시자가 상기 기지국의 구성 파라메터에서의 변동을 표시하는 경우에, 갱신된 구성 파라메터를 수신하기 위해 상기 이동국을 기상시키는 단계를 포함하는 판정 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 저장된 구성 파라메터는 제1 구성 파라메터를 포함하고, 상기 갱신된 구성 파라메터는 제2 구성 파라메터를 포함하고, 상기 구성 변동 표시자는 상기 기지국에 관한 제1 구성 파라메터가 상기 제2 구성 파라메터와는 다르다는 것을 표시하고, 상기 제1 구성 파라메터는 제1 채널상으로 수신되었고, 상기 제2 구성 파라메터를 수신하기 위해 상기 이동국을 기상시키는 단계는 상기 제1 채널과 다른 제2 채널 상에서 상기 이동국을 기상시키는 단계를 포함하는 판정 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 이동국에서 상기 갱신된 구성 파라메터를 수신하는 단계를 더 포함하는 판정 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 이동국이 자신의 페이징 채널 슬롯 동안 기상할 경우 다른 메시지를 조사하여 상기 이동국에 있는 구성 파라메터 값들이 최신의 것인지를 상기 이동국에서 판정하는 단계를 더 포함하는 판정 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 구성 시퀀스 번호(configuration sequence number)가 상기 이동국의 저장값과 불일치하면, 새로운 구성 파라메터 값을 수신하기 위하여 보다 긴 시간 동안 기상하고 있는 단계를 더 포함하는 판정 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 시퀀스 번호가 상기 기지국에 대한 저장된 값과 일치할 경우 상기 이동국이 상기 구성 파라메터 값들을 수신하는 판정 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 구성 파라메터는 구성 파라메터 메시지가 전송되는 특수 방송 채널(BCCH)을 모든 구성 파라메터가 최신의 것이 될 때까지의 시간 동안 수신하여 갱신되는 판정 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 이동국은 다중 구성 변동 퀵 비트들(multiple configuration change quick bits)을 수신하여 결합하는 판정 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 이동국이 구성 변동 퀵 비트를 수신한 후에 상기 구성이 변동되었다고 판정하면, 상기 이동국은 자신의 정규 페이징 슬롯동안 기상하고 상기 구성 파라메터 값들이 최신의 것이 될 때까지 기상하고 있는 판정 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 방송 채널(BCCH)이 사용되고 상기 이동국이 상기 구성 변동 퀵 비트를 수신한 후에 상기 구성이 변동되었다고 판정하면, 상기 이동국은 상기 구성 파라메터 값이 최신이 될 때까지 기상하여 상기 BCCH를 수신하는 판정 방법.
