Claims (5)
- 한 방향으로 서로 평행하게 연장되어 있는 여러 쌍의 공통 배선 및 게이트 배선과, 이들의 공통 배선 및 게이트 배선과 교차되는 방향으로 서로 평행하게 연장되어 있는 복수의 소스 배선과, 공통 배선 및 게이트 배선과 소스 배선으로 둘러싸이는 화소 개구부와, 박막 트랜지스터(TFT)로 구성되는 IPS(In-Plane-Switching)형 TFT 액정 표시 장치에 있어서,TFT의 소스 전극과 드레인 전극을 서로 평행하게 배치하고, 상기 서로 평행한 소스 전극과 드레인 전극으로 형성되는 채널의 폭 방향이 상기 소스 배선과 평행하고 그 채널의 폭이 화소 개구부의 긴 변의 길이와 같은 정도가 되도록 TFT를 구성하며, 상기 화소 개구부의 TFT가 형성된 변에 대향하는 변에, TFT의 드레인 전극에 평행하게 공통 배선으로부터 연장되어 있는 공통 전극을 설치하는 것을 특징으로 하는 고선명 TFT 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 TFT의 소스 전극은 상기 소스 배선의 일부를 공용하는 구성인 것을 특징으로 하는 고선명 TFT 액정 표시 장치.
- 삭제
- 제1항에 있어서, 무전계시의 액정 배향 방향을, 상기 공통 전극과 상기 공통 배선이 교차하는 단에서부터 TFT의 상기 드레인 전극의 게이트 배선에 가까운 측의 단으로 향하는 방향으로 하는 것을 특징으로 하는 고선명 TFT 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 드레인 전극의 게이트 배선에 가까운 측의 단에서부터 게이트 배선에 평행하게 드레인 전극을 연장시키고, 드레인 전극을 L자형 또는 역 L자형의 구조로 하는 것을 특징으로 하는 고선명 TFT 액정 표시 장치.
