Abstract
PURPOSE: A ball-type casing used in a sand compaction pile process on a sea is provided to improve quality of a sand column by preventing seawater and soils from penetrating into a casing pipe using buoyant force. CONSTITUTION: A ball-type casing(100) includes a casing pipe(110) having a diameter larger than a diameter of the ball-type casing(100). The casing pipe(110) is installed at a lower portion of the ball-type casing(100). A plurality of reinforcement members(120) are aligned lengthwise the casing pipe(110). A sealing member(130) is provided at upper portions of the reinforcement members(120) so as to maintain a sealing state when a ball(140) is adhered to the reinforcement members(120). A ball supporter(150) is installed at a lower portion of the reinforcement members(120). The ball(140) is movably installed between the shielding member(130) and the ball supporter(150).
