Abstract

PURPOSE: To proivde a pile the diameter at its head part is enlarged, by a method wherein an auger for agitating a muddy soil having two different diameter blades, is inserted into a casing being composed of larger diametered one and smaller one longitudinally connected, by employing the titled apparatus whose head part is enlarged.
CONSTITUTION: Large diametered casing 2 for large diametered screw auger 8 and small diametered casing 1 for small diametered auger 9, with a connecting screw auger Y being interposed therebetween, are connected by a plurality of cutting blades 3 welded in the space formed between the above two casings with proper intervals from each other. In installing a pile by use of the above apparatus, the ground is excavated at first by bit 11 of small diametered screw auger 9. When the lower end of large diametered casing 2 comes into contact with the ground surface as excavation proceeds, soil under the casing 2 is excavated by cutting blades 3 and carried upward into large diametered casing 2 through the space in which blades 3 are disposed, so that a pit having different diameters can be excavated. Then, a reinforced pile having an enlarged head is constructed by pouring cement silk into the pit thus excavated.
