Abstract
이소티아졸론 농축물을 안정화시키기 위하여 페녹시알카놀이 사용되며, 페녹시 알카놀에 대한 3-이소티아졸론의 중량비는 약 0.1 : 99.9~ 25: 75이다.
Description
본 발명은 3-이소티아졸론의 안정화방법 및 그 방법에 의해 안정화된 3-이소티아졸론 살충·살균 조성물에 관한 것이다. Guilini Chemie에 부여된 독일 특허번호 3508928는 항미생물용 조성물을 함유하는 메틸파라벤, 프로필파라벤 및 프로필렌글리콜과 화장품의 산화방지안정화에 대하여 청구하고 있으며, 이는 선택적으로 이소티아졸론 및 역시 선택적으로 2-페녹시에탄올을 포함하는 일련의 화합물을 포함한다. 유럽특허출원 194466역시 본질적으로 같은 내용을 담고 있다.
지금까지 열퇴화 혹은 저장시 퇴화에 대하여 이소티아졸론을 안정화시키는 전형적인 방법은 금속염, 포름알데히드나 포름알데히드 방출제, 및 기타 예를 들어 1987. 11. 6 출원 미국번호 118,366에서 제안된 안정화제에 의한 것이었다.
그러나 이같은 이소티아졸론의 포름알데히드나 포름알데히드-방출제 및 염에 의한 안정화는 몇가지 결점을 갖고 있다.
어떤 응용처에서는 고온에서의 분해, 고단가, 취급의 곤란, 잠재적 독성등과 같은 문제 때문에 특정 안정화제를 첨가하지 않는 것이 바람직한 것이다.
본 발명은 약 0.1 ~ 99.9 부의 하나 혹은 그이상의 이소티아졸론 및 이소티아졸론 농축물을 안정화 시키기에 충분한 량의 페녹시 알카놀을 함유하는 조성물을 포함한다.
이하 본 발명을 상세히 설명한다.
대상이 되는 3-이소티아졸론은 하기식으로 표시되는 것과 같이 미국 특허 3,523,121 및 3,761,488에 개시된 것들을 포함한다.
상기식에서 Y는 수소; 탄소원자수 1~18이며, 바람직하게는 탄소원자수 4~10인 알킬 혹은 치환된 알킬;
치환되지 않았거나 할로겐 치환된, 탄소원자수 2~8인, 바람직하게는 탄소원자수 2~4인 알케닐 혹은 알키닐;
탄소원자수 3~12인, 바람직하게는 탄소원자수 5~8인 시클로알킬 혹은 치환된 시클로알킬;
탄소 원자수 10까지의 아랄킬이나 할로겐-, 저급알킬- 혹은 저급알콕시-치환된 아랄킬; 혹은 탄소원자수 10까지의 아릴이나 할로겐-, 저급알킬, 혹은 저급 알콕시 치환된 아릴이며,
X 및 X1는 수소, 할로겐, 혹은 (C1-C4)알킬이다.
대표적인 Y 치환체로는 메틸, 에틸, 프로필, 이소프로필, 부틸, 헥실, 옥틸, 시클로헥실, 벤질, 3,4-디클로로페닐, 4-메톡시벤질, 4-클로로벤질, 4-메톡시페닐, 4-클로로페닐, 페네틸(Phenethyl), 2-(4-클로로페닐)에틸, 히드록시메틸, 클로로메틸 클로로프로필, 수소 등을 들 수 있다.
알킬, 알콕시등에 결합되어 사용되는 단어 저급 이란 알킬 혹은 알킬부위가 1~4의 탄소원자 즉 (C1-C4)를 갖는다는 것을 의미한다.
치환된 알킬기란 그 수소원자를 하나 혹은 그 이상이 다른 치환기로 교체된 알킬기를 의미한다.
본 발명의 3-이소티아졸론의 특성을 나타내는 치환된 알킬기는 히드록시 알킬, 할로알킬, 시아노알킬, 알킬아미노알킬, 디알킬아미노알킬, 아릴아미노알킬, 카복시알킬, 카발콕시 알킬, 알콕시알킬, 아릴옥시알킬, 알킬티오알킬, 아릴티오알킬, 할로알콕시알킬, 시클로알킬아미노알킬, (모포리노알킬, 피페리디노알킬, 피롤리도닐알킬등과 같은), 카바옥시알킬, 알케닐, 할로알케닐, 알키닐, 할로알키닐, 이소티악클로닐알킬 등을 포함한다.
치환된 아랄킬기는 아릴링 혹은 알킬체인중에 어느 곳에 있는 하나 혹은 그이상의 수소원자가 다른 치환기로 대체된 아랄킬기(aralkyl group)를 의미한다.
본 발명의 3-이소티아졸론의 특성을 나타내는 치환아랄킬기의 예로서는 수소, 저급알킬-, 혹은 저급 알콕시-치환된 아랄킬기등을 들 수 있다.
치환된 아릴기는 아릴링상의 하나 혹은 그 이상의 수소원자가 다른 치환기로써 대체된, 벤젠, 나프탈렌이나 피리딘과 같은, 아릴기를 의미한다. 이같은 치환기의 예로서는 수소, 니트로, 저급알킬, 저급알킬-아실아미노, 저급 카발콕시, 술파밀(sulfamyl)등을 포함한다.
바람직한 이소티아졸론은 5-클로로-2-메틸-3-이소티아졸론, 2-메틸-3-이소티아졸론, 2-옥틸-3-이소티아졸론, 4,5-디클로로-2-시클로헥실-3-이소티아졸론, 및 4,5-디클로로-2-옥틸-3-이소티아졸론들이다.
대량 선적과 같은 특정용도를 위하여는 보다 농축된 용액이 사용될 수도 있다. 결과물인 용액은 계면활성제, 무기염, 중합체분산제, 보습제, 점도조절제 및 응결점 강하제(freezing point depressant)등으로 구성되는 그룹에서 선택된 보조제를 약 25 중량%까지 포함한다.
농축물은 수분이 거의 없거나 아주 없는 것이 바람직하며, 있더라도 약 5중량% 이하로 함유하는 것이 좋다.
이소티아졸론은 제어된 방출을 위한 형태를 포함하여 여러 방법으로 벌크형태나 팩키지 혹은 캡슐화된 형태로 존재할 수 있다.
페녹시 알카놀에 대한 이소티아졸론의 비는 약 0.1 : 99.9 ~ 25: 75가 바람직하다.
적절한 페녹시알카놀은 페녹시에탄올과 페녹시이소프로판올이다.
본 발명에 의하면 종래에 필요로 했던 안정화염을 본질적으로 감소시키거나 완전히 사용하지 않고도 이소티아졸론을 안정화 가능하게 한다.
이들 새롭게 유기적으로 안정화된 살충·살균제의 용도는 전형적으로 박테리아, 균류(fungi)혹은 조류(algae)에 의한 오염 가능성이 있는 이들의 서식지이다.
전형적인 서식지는 냉각, 세탁수와 같은 수성 시스템, 절삭유와 같은 오일시스템, 유전 및 기타 미생물의 박멸이 필요하거나 성장을 제어 시킬 필요가 있는 장소이다.
본 발명의 안정화된 살충, 살균 조성물은 저수준의 염을 함유하거나 염을 함유하지 않기 때문에 종래의 염-안정화된 이소티아졸론보다 이익적이며 염이 문제를 야기할 경우 선택할 수 있는 살충·살균제이다.
예를들어 염을 첨가시 어떤 에멀션은 응고 될 수가 있다.
본 발명의 조성물은 이같은 문제가 없기 때문에 사진에멀션, 도료와 같이 고체 보호막이나 장식막을 형성하는 코팅에멸션과 같은 에멀션; 전자회로, 목재, 금속, 플라스틱, 섬유, 막(membranes), 카페트백킹, 세라믹등 표면이 코팅되거나 보호될 필요가 있는곳; 접착제, 콜크 및 감응성에멀션등에 사용될 수 있다.
염을 사용하지 않은 본발명의 조성물은 디젤연료, 가솔린, 석유, 알콜등과 같은 연료시스템에 유용하며, 이는 성분부분에 염침적물이 생길 가능성을 제거하기 때문이다.
염을 사용하지 않는 다른 이유는 부식이 일어나는 환경을 피할 수 있다는 것이다.
예를 들어 특히 염소염은 많은 종류의 금속에 부식효과가 있어 부식 가능한 곳에는 피해야 한다. 낮은 양이온 및 음이온 수준이 중요한 수처리 시스템에서는 특히 그렇다. 생물학적 성장이 제어되어야 하는 여러부위와 관련된 여러분야에서는 염을 현저히 줄이거나 사용하지 않는 것이 요구되는 응용처를 잘 알것이다. 여러경우에서 안정화염 및 시스템의 다른 성분이나 배합성분사이의 상호작용을 배재하는 것이 필요하며, 그렇지 않을 경우 그같은 시스템의 성능이나 값을 감소시킬 것이다.
이소티아졸론 살균제는 상당히 활성적이기 때문에, 안정화를 얻는데 필요한 저수준은 필요한 저수준에서는 보호가 필요한 시스템의 다른 성분이나 보호시스템이 응용될 시스템을 침해하지 않아, 종래의 살균제와 비교해 볼 때 이상적인 것이다.
일반적인 응용처로서는 살균제, 위생제, 청정제, 탈취제, 액체 및 파우더비누, 표피제거제, 오일 및 그리이스 제거제, 음식처리 화학품, 일용화학품, 음식보존제, 동물사료보존제, 목제보존제, 도료, 래주어(lazures), 염색액, 방미제, 병원 및 의료 방부제, 금속작업제, 냉각수, 공기 청정제, 석유제조, 종이처리, 제지공장 슬라임방지제, 석유산물, 접착제, 섬유, 안료슬러리, 라텍스, 가죽 및 피혁처리, 석유연료, 세탁소독제, 농경배합물, 잉크, 채광, 부직포, 성규저장소, 고무, 제당, 담배, 수영장, 화장품, 화장실용품, 의약품, 화학적 화장도구, 가정세탁물, 디젤연료첨가제, 왁스 및 광택제와 기타 바람직하지 않는 미생물이 성장할 수 있는 환경과 접촉하는 유기물 및 수분이 있는 부위이다.
몇몇 화장품 배합물에 있어서, 낮은 수분 및 염함량을 갖는 것이 또한 중요하다. 질산염을 제거함으로써 배합물에 존재하는 아민류에 니트로소아민(nitrosoamine)이 형성될 가능성을 없앤다.
살충·살균제로부터 다가 양이온을 제거하거나 감소시킴으로써 어느 화장품 배합물에서 염이나 복염의 침전에 의해 생기는 물리적 비혼화성 문제를 사전에 예방할 수 있다.
살충·살균제의 효능은 하나 혹은 그 이상의 살충·살균제와 조합하여 사용함으로써 증진되는 것으로 이분야에서는 알려져 있다. 사실상 살충·살균제의 조합함으로써 상승작용을 하는 사례가 여러차례 있었다.
이와같이 다른 공지의 살충·살균제가 본 발명의 안정화된 이소티아졸론과 함께 이익적으로 결합될 수 있는 것이다. 이소티아졸론은 유전수처리제로써 수냉각 시스템 살균제로써, 수용성분산물이나 유기중합체용 보존제로써, 목재펄프 백수 슬라임방지제로써, 화장품보존제로써, 절삭유로써, 제트연료로써, 난방 오일 보존제등으로써 사용된다. 이소티아졸론용액은 또한 직물, 피혁이나 목재와 같은 고체기질에 보존제로써 사용되거나 혹은 플라스틱에 혼합하여 사용될 수 있다.
본 발명의 산물은 특히 다음과 같은것에 대한 보존제로써 유용하다.
1. 화장품
아민이나 아민전구체가 존재하는 경우 니트로소아민의 형성을 유발할 수 있는 아민의 존재를 제거하거나 대부분을 감소시킴으로써 화장품에 사용이 가능하다.
2. 오일 및 연료
염이나 수분이 제거되거나 최소화 됨으로써 부식, 침착 혹은 슬러지 형성을 막을 수 있다.
3. 에멀션 및 분산물
도료, 화장품, 바닥 광택제 및 결합제와 같은 다양한 산물에 사용될 수 있다.
4. 플라스틱
표면을 흐릿하게 하거나, 불투명하게 하거나 물리적인 성질을 약화시키는데 직접 간접으로 영향을 미치는 침전염을 제거하거나 대부분 감소시킨다.
이하 본 발명을 실시예에 따라 보다 상세히 설명한다.
모든 부 및 퍼어세트는 별도로 언급하지 않는 한 중량 기준이며, 온도는 섭씨이다. 본발명의 조성물의 안정화를 종래 물질과 대비하기 위하여 다음 실험을 행하였다.;
온도-조절된 오븐을 이용하여, 용제 바이알, 및 이소티아졸론을 제조하고 정해진 시간동안 가열하였다. 남아있는 출발 이소티아졸론의 퍼어센트를 고성능 액체 크로마토그라피(HPLC)로 측정하였다. 55℃온도를 이용하였다. 연구한 이소티아졸론이나 이소티아졸론 혼합물에 대하여 특정시간 동안 잔류값이 거의 로스가 없는 것을(no loss) 나타냈을 때 안정화가 합격인 것을 나타내는 것으로 결과를 파악하였다.
I. 5-클로로-2-메틸-3-이소티아졸론/2-메틸-3-이소티아졸론에 대한 안정화 시험
[실시예 1]
5-클로로-2-메틸-3-이소티아졸론/2-메틸-3-이소티아졸론(4,3/1: 중량/중량)의 15 중량% 용액을 페녹시에탈올내에서와 디프로피렌 글리콜내에서 제조하였다.
그용액을 55℃에서 저장한 후 1 및 2주후 잔류하는 전체 이소티아졸론에 대한 분석을 하였다. (AI)
그결과가 하기 표 1에 나타나 있다.
Claims (14)
- 화학적 분해에 대하여 이소티아졸론을 안정화시키기 위하여 충분한 량의 페녹시 알카놀에 3-이소티아졸론을 용해시킴을 포함하는 3-이소티아졸론의 안정화 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 페녹시알카놀에 대한 3-이소티아졸론의 중량비가 약 0.1:99.9~25:75 임을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 결과용액은 나아가 계면활성제, 무기염, 중합체분산제, 보습제, 점도조절제 및 응결점 강하제로 구성된 그룹에서 선택된 보조제를 약 25 중량%까지 포함함을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 3-이소티아졸론은 5-클로로-2-메틸-3-이소티아졸론, 2-메틸-3-이소티아졸론, 2-옥틸-3-이소티아졸론, 4,5-디클로로-2-시클로헥실-3-이소티아졸론, 및 4,5-디클로로-2-옥틸-3-이소티아졸론으로 구성되는 그룹에서 선택됨을 특징으로하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 결과용액은 약 5중량% 이하의 수분을 포함함을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기 용액은 물을 포함하지 않음을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 페녹시알카놀은 페녹시 에탄올과 페녹시 이소프로판올로 구성되는 그룹에서 선택됨을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 3-이소티아졸론 화합물, 및 상기 이소티아졸론을 화학적 분해에 대하여 안정시키기에 충분한 량의 페녹시알카놀을 포함한 조성물.
- 제8항에 있어서, 상기 페녹시알카놀은 페녹시알카놀에 대한 3-이소티아졸론의 중량비가 약 0.1 : 99.9 ~ 25:75로 존재함을 특징으로 하는 조성물.
- 제8항에 있어서, 상기 조성물은 또한 계면 활성제, 무기염, 중합분산제, 보습제, 점도조절제, 및 응결점 강하제로 구성되는 그룹에서 선택된 보조제를 약 25중량%까지 포함함을 특징으로 하는 조성물.
- 제8항에 있어서, 상기 3-이소티아졸론은 5-클로로-2-메틸-3-이소티아졸론, 2-메틸-3-이소티아졸론, 2-옥틸-3-이소티아졸론, 4,5-디클로로-2-시클로헥실-3-이소티아졸론, 및 4,5-디클로로-2-옥틸-3-이소티아졸론으로 구성된 그룹에서 선택됨을 특징으로 하는 조성물.
- 제8항에 있어서, 상기 조성물은 약 5%이하의 물을 포함함을 특징으로 하는 조성물.
- 제8항에 있어서, 상기 조성물은 물을 포함하지 않음을 특징으로 하는 조성물.
- 제8항에 있어서, 상기 페녹시알카놀은 페녹시알카놀 및 페녹시이소프로판올로 구성되는 그룹에서 선택됨을 특징으로 하는 조성물.
