Description

뼈 고정용 안정화 부재
제1도는 본 발명에 따른 중간 삽입용 부재와 관련하여 본 발명에 따른 봉의 나사가 삽입된 상태를 도시한 평면도 및 측면도이고,
제2도는 본 발명에 따른 중간 삽입용 부재 및 나사를 도시한 도면이고,
제3도 내지 제5도는 본 발명에 따른 안정화 부재를 사용하여 경추를 안정화시키는 상태를 도시한 개략도이며,
제6도 내지 제8도는 본 발명에 따른 안정화 부재의 다른 구체예를 나타낸 것으로서, 제6도는 본 발명의 안정화 부재의 분해된 상태의 단면도이고, 제7도는 본 발명의 안정화 부재의 결합된 분해된 상태의 단면도이며, 제8도는 제7도에 도시한 부재의 평면도이다.

본 발명은 골절되거나 부분적으로 금이 간 뼈 부분들을 고정 및 접합시킬 위치에서 치료 기간동안 또는 보다 장기간에 걸쳐서 고정시키기 위한 안정화 부재에 관한 것이다.
뼈 안정화용 부재는 길게 형성된 다수의 홀을 가진 바아로 구성된다. 바아에는 원하는 뼈 형상에 부합되도록 상기 길게 형성된 홀들 사이에 축소된 단면을 가진 부분이 제공될 수 있다. 상기 바아는 뼈 내에 고정시키는 나사에 의해 고정된다. 이 점에 있어서, 뼈는 불규칙한 형상을 하고 있고 상기 바아에 수직인 단면을 가지는 경우는 좀처럼 없기 때문에, 아주 드문 경우에만 상기 바아에 수직 방향으로 나사를 조일 수가 있는 문제점에 직면하게 된다.
그러나, 만일 뼈의 최대 단면 방향으로 나사가 고정되면, 나사 헤드부의 한쪽 측면만이 바아의 길게 형성된 홀에서 지지되고, 나사 헤드부와 바아 사이의 연결은 충분히 견고하지 않게 된다.
본 발명의 목적은 상기 언급된 문제점을 개선한 안정화 부재를 제공하는데 있다. 본 발명의 또 다른 목적은 매우 불규칙하게 형성되어 있는 뼈를 견고하게 고정시키기 위한 뼈 고정용 안정화 부재를 제공하는데 있다.
본 발명에 따른 뼈 고정용 안정화 부재는, 길게 형성된 다수개의 홀이 구비되어 있는 바아, 상기 길게 형성된 홀을 통해 연신되어 안정화시킬 뼈 부분에 상기 바아를 고정시키는 작용을 하고 나사 헤드부의 아랫부분이 구형의 볼록한 활꼴을 형성하고 있는 나사, 및 한쪽면이 상기 바아에 놓이도록 편평한 형상이고 다른 한쪽면은 상기 나사의 헤드부 아랫부분을 지지할 수 있도록 구형의 오목한 활꼴형 수납부를 형성하고 있는 중간 부재를 포함하도록 구성되어 있다.
본 발명의 제반 장점, 특징 및 목적은 본원에 첨부된 도면을 참조로 하기의 실시예에 의해 상세하게 설명한다.
제1도에 도시된 바아에는 일렬로 정렬된 기다란 홀(2~2n)이 포함된다.
상기 기다란 홀들 사이의 영역에서 바아(1)은 뼈의 형태에 적합하게 횡방향 단면의 폭이 축소된 부분(3 내지 3n-1)을 포함한다(제 3 도 참조).
상기 길게 형성된 홀을 통해 각각의 나사를 삽입시키는데에는 각각 중간 부재(7)가 제공된다. 상기 중간 부재는 바아(1)를 기준으로 뼈의 반대편의 원하는 지점에 위치하여 나사(4)를 수용하도록 되어 있다. 중간 부재(7)에는 나사축의 피봇팅(pivotting) 각도가 최대로 확보되도록 중간 부재를 통과하게 될 나사축의 직경보다 더 큰 직경을 가진 관통공(11)이 형성되어 있다. 또한, 상기 관통공(11)의 크기는 중간 부재에 나사 헤드를 지탱시킬 수 있을 정도로 작게 설정된다. 바아(1)에 맞대어지는 중간 부재의 표면은 관통공(11)과 동심인 구형의 분절형 리세스(8)로서 형성되어 있다
제2도에는 나사(4)가 도시되어 있는데, 이것의 헤드부(5)는 바닥측면이 일부의 구형을 이루도록 형성된 부분(6)이 있어서 이것이 중간 부재(7)의 구형의 일부를 이루는 형태로 형상화된 리세스부(8)에 맞을 수 있도록 되어 있다. 상기 리세스부(8)와 상기 부분(6)의 반경은 서로 끼워 맞출 수 있는 크기로 형성된다. 이렇게 해서, 나사(4)의 나사부는 제1도의 아랫 부분에 도시된 바와 같이 약 ±20°의 공간 각도로 골조직내로 고정될 수 있게 된다. 그럼에도 불구하고, 전체 나사헤드(5)는 중간 부재(7) 및 바아(1)에 완전한 접촉이 이루어져서 안정화가 현저하게 개선된다.
바아(1)를 기준으로 하는 나사(4)의 위치 및 배향은 본 발명의 다른 구체예에 따라 중간 부재(7)의 바닥부 및 바아(1)의 상부 측면에 굴곡 구조 또는 주름을 제공함으로써 고정된다. 제 1 도에 도시된 바와 같이, 상기 굴곡 구조는 바아(1)의 종방향에 수직인 방향으로 파형 굴곡 구조나 주름(9) 형태로 구성된다.
이러한 형태적 특징은 나사를 조인 후에 중간 부재(7)의 이동을 방지하여 나사(4)의 이동을 막게 된다.
제1도의 중간 부분에는, 길게 형성된 1개의 동일한 기다란 홀(2)내에서 필요에 따라 나사의 위치를 변위시킬 수 있는 점이 도시되어 있다.
제3도 내지 제5도는 경추(10)에 고정시킨 본 발명의 실시예를 도시한다.
제3도에서 바아(1)는 횡방향 단면의 폭이 감소된 약화된 부분(3, 3')에서 경추골(10)의 모양이나 형상에 맞게 바아(1)를 구부려지거나 휘어져 있다.
제4도는 직선형 바아의 실시예를 도시한 것이다.
제5도는 경추골의 좌우측면이 각각 본 발명에 따른 안정화 부재로 안정화된 경추골(10)의 횡단면을 도시한 것이다.
제6도 내지 제8도에는 본 발명의 다른 실시예에 따른 중간 부재(7)의 실례가 도시되어 있다.
상기 실시예에 따르면, 본 발명에 따른 중간 부재(7)의 외형은 바아(1)의 종단 측면 너머까지 돌출되고, 상기 양쪽 종단 측면에는 바아(1)를 둘러싸는 쇼울더(12)가 포함된다. 상기와 같은 설계는 바아(1)에 대한 중간 부재(7)의 고정을 개선시킬 수 있음과 동시에, 바아(1)를 자착시키는 동안 중간 부재가 측방향으로 변이되는 것을 방지함으로써 작업을 용이하게 수행할 수 있다.
이상과 같이 본 발명을 구체적 실시예에 의해 설명하였으나, 본 발명은 이하에 첨부된 청구범위에 따른 본 발명의 범위 이내의 가능한 모든 변경 및 균등물을 포함하는 것으로 이해되어야 할 것이다.

Claims (9)

  1. 뼈 고정용 안정화 부재에 있어서, 길게 형성된 다수개의 홀(2)이 구비되어 있는 바아(1), 상기 길게 형성된 홀(2)을 통해 연신되어 안정화시킬 뼈 부분에 상기 바아(1)를 고정시키는 작용을 하고 나사 헤드부(5)의 아랫부분(6)이 구형의 볼록한 활꼴을 형성하고 있는 나사(4), 및 한쪽면이 상기 바아(1)에 놓이도록 편평한 형상이고 다른 한쪽면은 상기 나사(4)의 헤드부(5)의 아랫부분(6)을 지지할 수 있도록 구형의 오목한 활꼴형 수납부를 형성하고 있는 중간 부재(7)를 포함하고 있으며, 상기 바아(1)와 중간 부재(7)가 면하는 측면에 굴곡 구조 또는 패턴(9)이 제공되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 뼈 고정용 안정화 부재.
  2. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 바아(1)에 종방향에 수직 방향으로 파형 무늬 또는 주름이 형성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 뼈 고정용 안정화 부재.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 바아(1)가 일정한 간격을 두고 횡단면 폭이 감소되어 강도가 약화된 부분들(3~3n-1)이 형성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 뼈 고정용 안정화 부재.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 중간 부재(7)에 2개의 인접한 구형 오목부가 제공되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 뼈 고정용 안정화 부재.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 중간 부재(7)의 윤곽 또는 외형이 직사각형인 것을 특징으로 하는 뼈 고정용 안정화 부재.
  6. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 중간 부재(7)의 윤곽 또는 외형이 둥글게 형성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 뼈 고정용 안정화 부재.
  7. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 바아(1)의 길게 형성된 홀이 뼈와 면하는 측면으로 경사를 이루도록 되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 뼈 고정용 안정화 부재.
  8. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 중간 부재(7)의 외곽 테두리부가 바아(1)의 종단면을 너머 돌출되도록 형성되고, 상기 바아(1)의 양 측면을 둘러싸는 쇼울더를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 뼈 고정용 안정화 부재.
  9. 제9항에 있어서, 중간 부재(7)가 상기 바아(1)에 면하는 부분이 경사를 이루도록 되어 있고, 그 반대측 면이 둥글게 형성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 뼈 고정용 안정화 부재.
