前記封口体は、弁体と、前記弁体よりも前記電池の内方側に配置される金属板と、前記弁体と前記金属板との間に介在する環状の絶縁部材と、を備え、前記弁体および前記金属板は、それぞれの中央部において、互いに接続され、前記弁体は、前記電池の内圧上昇時に変形可能な環状の肉薄部を有し、前記金属板および前記絶縁部材は、それぞれ、互いに連通する孔を有し、前記絶縁部材は、前記金属板の前記弁体側の表面を覆う部位P1と、前記部位P1に続いて設けられるとともに前記金属板の孔の側面を覆う部位P2と、を有する、円筒形電池に関する。
以下、図1〜5を参照しながら、本発明の一実施形態に係る円筒形電池の一例として、非水電解質二次電池について説明する。図1は、非水電解質二次電池の縦断面図である。図2は、図1の封口体の縦断面図である。図3は、図2の複合体の縦断面図である。図4は、図3の複合体の平面図である。図5は、図3の複合体の背面図である。
以下、本発明の別の実施形態に係る円筒形電池について、図8を参照しながら説明する。図8は、本発明の別の実施形態に係る円筒形電池に用いられる複合体の縦断面図である。本実施形態に係る電池は、図3に示す複合体19(絶縁部材14)の代わりに、図8に示す複合体59(絶縁部材54)を用いる以外は、図1に示す電池10と同じ構成である。複合体59は、金属板13および絶縁部材54を備える。絶縁部材54は、部位P1と、部位P2と、部位P4と、を有する。複合体59は、複合体19から絶縁部材14の部位P6およびリブ14aを取り除いた構成と同じである。
