Abstract
Description
品に関する。特に、摺動面に流体を介在させて摩擦を低減させるとともに、摺動面から流
体が漏洩するのを防止するための密封環または軸受などの摺動部品に関する。
互いに相対摺動する摺動面を有する一対の摺動部品であって、少なくとも一方側の摺動面は、複数のディンプルを備え、
前記ディンプルは、凹部と、前記凹部の外周部に、かつ、前記凹部より浅い周縁部と、を備えることを特徴としている。
この特徴によれば、凹部の外周部の浅い周縁部に高い圧力を発生させて、凹部による流体潤滑効果及び密封効果をさらに向上させ、密封性及び潤滑性に優れた摺動部品を提供することができる。
前記周縁部は、前記摺動面に連なり前記凹部の壁部より小さな勾配を有する傾斜壁部を備えることを特徴としている。
この特徴によれば、凹部の外周部の傾斜壁部によって形成されるくさび部を利用してさらに高い圧力発生させて、ディンプルの流体潤滑効果及び密封効果を高めることができる。
前記傾斜壁部は、少なくとも一部に曲面を備えることを特徴としている。
この特徴によれば、曲面を利用して極めて小さな勾配を容易に形成することができる。
前記周縁部の前記勾配は1/100以下であることを特徴としている。
この特徴によれば、周縁部は小さな勾配を有するくさび部を常に形成でき、確実に高圧を発生させることができる。
前記周縁部は、レイリーステップ又は逆レイリーステップを備えることを特徴としている。
この特徴によれば、逆レイリーステップにより流体を吸込み、レイリーステップにより高圧を発生させ、ディンプルの流体潤滑効果及び密封効果を高めることができる。
前記凹部の深さをG、前記摺動面における前記凹部の開口径をDとしたとき、前記深さと前記開口径との比G/Dは0.25から1であることを特徴としている。
この特徴によれば、凹部に貯蔵された流体を周縁部に供給して周縁部で流体膜を形成することができる。
前記周縁部の巾をEとしたき、前記巾と前記開口径との比E/Dは0.15から0.5であることを特徴としている。
この特徴によれば、高圧を発生する周縁部の面積を大きくして負荷容量を高めることができる。
前記凹部の前記深さGは5μmから50μmであることを特徴としている。
凹部に貯められた流体を周縁部に十分に供給して、周縁部に高い圧力の流体膜を形成することができる。

Claims (10)
- 互いに相対摺動する摺動面を有する一対の摺動部品であって、少なくとも一方側の摺動面は、複数のディンプルを備え、
前記ディンプルは、凹部と、前記凹部の外周部に、かつ、前記凹部より浅い周縁部と、を備えることを特徴とする摺動部品。 - 前記周縁部は、前記摺動面に連なり、前記凹部の壁部より小さな勾配を有する傾斜壁部を備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の摺動部品。
- 前記傾斜壁部は、少なくとも一部に曲面を備えることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の摺動部品。
- 前記周縁部の前記勾配は1/100以下であることを特徴とする請求項2又は3に記載の摺動部品。
- 前記周縁部は、レイリーステップ又は逆レイリーステップを備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の摺動部品。
- 前記凹部の深さをG、前記摺動面における前記凹部の開口径をDとしたとき、前記深さと前記開口径との比G/Dは0.25から1であることを特徴とする請求項1ないし5のいずれかに記載の摺動部品。
- 前記周縁部の巾をEとしたき、前記巾と前記開口径との比E/Dは0.15から0.5であることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の摺動部品。
- 前記凹部の前記深さGは5μmから50μmであることを特徴とする請求項6又は7に記載の摺動部品。
- 前記周縁部の巾Eは5μmから20μmであることを特徴とする請求項7又は8に記載の摺動部品。
- 前記開口径Dを10μmから60μm、前記巾Eを5μmから20μm及び前記深さGを5μmから50μmとすることを特徴とする請求項7ないし9のいずれかに記載の摺動部品。
