Abstract
Description
向して配置された、室外側に配置される湾曲した第一ガラス板と、室内側に配置される湾曲した第二ガラス板とを備え、
前記第一ガラス板は、凸面側第一主面と、前記熱可塑性中間層と面する凹面側第二主面とを備える、厚みが0.7mm〜3mmの非化学強化ガラス板であり、
前記第二ガラス板は、前記熱可塑性中間層と面する凸面側第三主面と、凹面側第四主面とを備える、イオン交換処理による、厚みが0.3mm〜1.5mmで、且つ前記第一ガラス板よりも薄い厚みで、前記第一ガラス板よりも剛性が低く、
前記第三主面の圧縮応力層は、前記第四主面の圧縮応力層よりも厚く、
前記第二ガラス板は、前記第一ガラス板の曲率と同等となるように矯正されたものであることを特徴とする。
両ガラス板と熱可塑性樹脂層との積層体を形成する合せ化行程において、熱可塑性樹脂層と両ガラス板との間の脱気をしやすくするために、両ガラス板の曲率が同等であることが好ましい。第二ガラス板を化学強化ガラスとする前記合せガラスにおいては、第一ガラス板と、第二ガラス板とを同じ湾曲形状に加工した後に、第二ガラス板が化学強化ガラスとされる。そのため、第一ガラス板の曲率と、第二ガラス板の曲率とは、同等とはなり難く、合せ化工程の効率が低いものとなる。
前記凸面側第三主面と、前記凹面側第四主面とに、イオン交換処理によって圧縮応力層を形成して、前記第二ガラス板を化学強化ガラスとする、化学強化ガラスの調製工程と、
熱可塑性中間層と、前記凹面側第二主面と、前記凸面側第三主面とを対向して配置して、第一、第二ガラス板と前記熱可塑性中間層との積層体を形成し、次いで、前記熱可塑性中間層と、第一ガラス板と、第二ガラス板とを熱圧着する、合せ化工程とを備え、
前記凸面側第三主面と、前記凹面側第四主面とでは、前記凸面側第三主面の方を、圧縮応力層が厚いものとして、前記化学強化ガラスの調製工程で得られた第二ガラス板の曲率を、前記第一ガラス板の曲率よりも高いものとし、前記合せ化工程時に、前記第二ガラス板を前記第一ガラス板の湾曲に沿うように矯正することを特徴とする、ものである。

前記第一ガラス板21は、凸面側第一主面211と、前記熱可塑性中間層3と面する凹面側第二主面212とを備える、厚みが0.7mm〜3mmの非化学強化ガラス板であり、前記第二ガラス板22は、前記熱可塑性中間層3と面する凸面側第三主面223と、凹面側第四主面224とを備える、イオン交換処理による、厚みが0.3mm〜1.5mmで、且つ前記第一ガラス板21よりも薄い厚みの化学強化ガラス板であり、
前記凸面側第三主面223と、前記凹面側第四主面224とでは、前記凸面側第三主面223の方が、圧縮応力層が厚いものであり、
前記第二ガラス板22は、前記第一ガラス板21の湾曲に沿うように矯正されたものである。
<検証対象の化学強化ガラス>
フロートプロセスで得られたISO16293−1で規定されている組成内にあるソーダ石灰ケイ酸塩ガラスで、厚みが0.55mmの平板状のガラス板で、ガラス板主面の圧縮応力が604MPa、圧縮応力層の厚みが14μmのものを用いた。尚、本化学強化ガラス板は、両主面の圧縮応力の値は同じものを用いた。
検証対象の化学強化ガラス板の中央部に片側方向から荷重をかけて、ガラス板を変形させたときの、凸面側の圧縮応力の値を観測した。以下に、ガラス板の変形量と、圧縮応力の値とを列挙する。尚、圧縮応力の値は、光導波路効果を観測原理とする表面応力計(折原製作所製、FSM−6000LE)用いて得られたものである。なお、屈折率は1.52、光弾性定数は26.0((nm/cm)/MPa)をそれぞれ用いた。
以上のことを考慮すると、第三主面223の圧縮応力層の厚みは、第四主面224の圧縮応力層の厚みより、好ましくは5%〜25%厚いもの、さらに好ましくは5%〜20%厚いものとしてもよい。
前記凸面側第三主面と、前記凹面側第四主面とに、イオン交換処理によって圧縮応力層を形成して、前記第二ガラス板を化学強化ガラスとする、化学強化ガラスの調製工程と、
熱可塑性中間層と、前記凹面側第二主面と、前記凸面側第三主面とを対向して配置して、第一、第二ガラス板と前記熱可塑性中間層との積層体11、次いで積層体12を形成し、その後で、前記熱可塑性中間層と、第一ガラス板と、第二ガラス板とを熱圧着する、合せ化工程とを備え、
前記凸面側第三主面と、前記凹面側第四主面とでは、前記凸面側第三主面の方を、イオン交換能が高いものとして、前記化学強化ガラスの調製工程で得られた第二ガラス板の曲率を、前記第一ガラス板の曲率よりも高いものとし、前記合せ化工程時に、前記第二ガラス板を前記第一ガラス板の湾曲に沿うように矯正するものである。

- 自動車用合せガラスであって、
熱可塑性中間層、及び前記熱可塑性中間層を介して対向して配置された、室外側に配置される湾曲した第一ガラス板と、室内側に配置される湾曲した第二ガラス板とを備え、
前記第一ガラス板は、凸面側第一主面と、前記熱可塑性中間層と面する凹面側第二主面とを備える、厚みが0.7mm〜3mmの非化学強化ガラス板であり、
前記第二ガラス板は、前記熱可塑性中間層と面する凸面側第三主面と、凹面側第四主面とを備える、厚みが0.3mm〜1.5mmで、且つ前記第一ガラス板よりも薄い厚みであり、
さらには、前記第二ガラス板は、イオン交換処理によって、前記第三主面と、前記第四主面とに圧縮応力層を備えた化学強化ガラス板であり、
前記第三主面の圧縮応力層は、前記第四主面の圧縮応力層よりも厚く、
前記第二ガラス板は、前記第一ガラス板の曲率と同等となるように矯正されたものであることを特徴とする、自動車用合せガラス。 - 前記第一ガラス板の厚みが1.3mm〜3mmであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の自動車用合せガラス。
- 前記第二ガラス板の厚みが0.3mm〜1.1mmであることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の自動車用合せガラス。
- 前記第二ガラス板が、フロートプロセスによるガラス板であり、前記第四主面が、フロートプロセス下で錫浴に接した面であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のいずれかに記載の自動車用合せガラス。
- 前記第三主面の圧縮応力層の厚みが、前記第四主面の圧縮応力層の厚みより、3%〜30%厚いことを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれかに記載の自動車用合せガラス。
- 前記第二主面と、前記第三主面とが、前記熱可塑性中間層と接着していることを特徴とする請求項1乃至5のいずれかに記載の自動車用合せガラス。
- 自動車用合せガラスの製造方法であって、
第一主面と第二主面とを備える、厚みが0.7mm〜3mmの平板の第一ガラス板と、第三主面と第四主面とを備える、厚みが0.3mm〜1.5mmで、且つ第一ガラス板よりも厚みの薄い平板の第二ガラス板を重ねた状態で、前記第一ガラス板と前記第二ガラス板とを軟化させて湾曲化し、前記第一主面を凸面側第一主面、前記第二主面を凹面側第二主面、前記第三主面を凸面側第三主面、前記第四主面を凹面側第四主面とする、ガラス板の湾曲化工程と、
前記凸面側第三主面と、前記凹面側第四主面とに、イオン交換処理によって圧縮応力層を形成して、前記第二ガラス板を化学強化ガラスとする、化学強化ガラスの調製工程と、
熱可塑性中間層と、前記凹面側第二主面と、前記凸面側第三主面とを対向して配置して、第一、第二ガラス板と前記熱可塑性中間層との積層体を形成し、次いで、前記熱可塑性中間層と、第一ガラス板と、第二ガラス板とを熱圧着する、合せ化工程とを備え、
前記凸面側第三主面と、前記凹面側第四主面とでは、前記凹面側第三主面の方を、圧縮応力層が厚いものとして、前記化学強化ガラスの調製工程で得られた第二ガラス板の曲率を、前記第一ガラス板の曲率よりも高いものとし、前記合せ化工程時に、前記第二ガラス板を前記第一ガラス板の曲率と同等となるように矯正することを特徴とする、自動車用合せガラスの製造方法。 - 前記合せ化工程時において、前記積層体の周縁領域を、治具で挟み込んで挟持することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の自動車用合せガラスの製造方法。
