Abstract
Description
次にロービングの場合はそのまま、チョップドストランドの場合は、所定の長さに切断された後、着色処理が行われる。着色処理は、ロービングの場合には着色処理剤を入れた着色槽を設け、連続的に浸漬することで、巻取りながら着色を行うことができる。

シランカップリング剤の重量比が上記範囲でないと、ガラス繊維/表面処理剤(表面処理層)/着色剤(着色層)が形成する各層間が剥離しやすいため、十分な成形品強度が得られない。また、着色層の剥離が生じるため、着色による成形品の外観向上の効果が得にくい。
Claims (11)
- 繊維強化プラスチック又は繊維強化熱可塑性プラスチックに用いられる着色ガラス繊維であって、
ガラス繊維表面に、表面処理層及び着色層がこの順番で積層され、
前記表面処理層は、顔料を含まず、第1のシランカップリング剤、被膜剤、及び界面活性剤を含み、
前記着色層は、第2のシランカップリング剤及び顔料を含み、
前記表面処理層と前記着色層の重量の和が前記ガラス繊維の重量に対して0.25〜1.70wt%であり、
前記顔料が前記着色ガラス繊維の表面に均一に付着していることを特徴とする着色ガラス繊維。 - 請求項1記載の着色ガラス繊維であって、
前記表面処理層は前記ガラス繊維の重量に対して0.20〜1.30wt%、
前記着色層は前記ガラス繊維の重量に対して0.03〜0.50wt%の重量であることを特徴とする着色ガラス繊維。 - 請求項1又は2記載の着色ガラス繊維であって、
前記第1のシランカップリング剤と第2のシランカップリング剤との重量比が、20:80〜95:5であることを特徴とする着色ガラス繊維。 - 請求項1〜3いずれか1項記載の着色ガラス繊維であって、
前記第1のシランカップリング剤及び第2のシランカップリング剤の合計重量は、前記表面処理層の重量と前記着色層の重量との和に対して、2.0〜65.0wt%であることを特徴とする着色ガラス繊維。 - 請求項1〜4いずれか1項記載の着色ガラス繊維であって、
前記ガラス繊維は、チョップドストランド又はロービングであることを特徴とする着色ガラス繊維。 - 請求項1〜5いずれか1項記載の着色ガラス繊維であって、
前記ガラス繊維が、長円形断面を有することを特徴とする着色ガラス繊維。 - 繊維強化プラスチック又は繊維強化熱可塑性プラスチックに用いられる着色ガラス繊維を得る方法であって、
顔料を含まず、第1のシランカップリング剤、被膜剤、及び界面活性剤を含む表面処理剤によって処理したガラス繊維を処理する表面処理工程と
乾燥することによって表面処理層が形成されたガラス繊維を得る工程と
前記表面処理層が形成されたガラス繊維を、第2のシランカップリング剤及び顔料を含む着色剤で処理し着色層を形成する着色工程と
水洗いする水洗工程を備えることを特徴とする着色ガラス繊維の製造方法。 - 請求項7記載の繊維強化プラスチック又は繊維強化熱可塑性プラスチックに用いられる着色ガラス繊維を得る方法であって、
前記表面処理層と前記着色層の重量の和が前記ガラス繊維の重量に対して0.25〜1.70wt%となるように処理することを特徴とする着色ガラス繊維製造方法。 - 請求項7又は8記載の繊維強化プラスチック又は繊維強化熱可塑性プラスチックに用いられる着色ガラス繊維を得る方法であって、
着色を施すガラス繊維の形態がチョップドストランド、又はロービングであることを特徴とする着色ガラス繊維製造方法。 - 繊維強化プラスチック又は繊維強化熱可塑性プラスチックに用いられる着色ガラス繊維であって、
請求項7〜9いずれか1項記載の着色ガラス繊維製造方法によって得ることを特徴とする着色ガラス繊維。 - 請求項1〜6又は10のいずれか1項記載の着色ガラス繊維と、プラスチック又は熱可塑性プラスチックとを含む成形品。
