Claims (4)
- 互いに間隔をあけて軸心の周りに立設される複数の立設部を有するボデーと、そのボデーよりも硬質の材料から構成されると共に後端に凸設される凸状連結部を有する切削ヘッドとを備え、前記凸状連結部を前記立設部の内側に挿入すると共に軸心回りに相対回転させて前記凸状連結部および前記立設部を連結するスローアウェイ式回転工具において、
前記凸状連結部の外周壁の一部として所定のねじれ角で突条状に形成され、前記立設部の内周壁間に挟持される複数の突条部を備え、
それら複数の突条部は、前記凸状連結部および前記立設部を連結するときの前記ボデー及び前記切削ヘッドの相対回転に伴って、前記立設部の内周壁に後端側から接触し接触面積が漸増するように前記ねじれ角およびねじれ方向が設定されていることを特徴とするスローアウェイ式回転工具。 - 前記内周壁は、軸心を中心とする同一半径の円弧状の曲線の集合として形成されており、
前記複数の突条部は、前記ねじれ方向が、前記ボデーの外周に凹設される溝と前記内周壁との相対回転方向を望む側の稜線のねじれ方向と同一の向きに設定されると共に、前記ねじれ角が、前記稜線のねじれ角より大きな角度に設定されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載のスローアウェイ式回転工具。 - 前記立設部の先端側に位置し軸方向に対して交差する面として形成される第1面と、
前記凸状連結部から外周側に突設され軸方向に対して交差する面として形成される第1受け部とを備え、
その第1受け部は、前記ボデー及び前記切削ヘッドを軸心回りに相対回転させて前記突条部が前記立設部の内周壁間に挟持されると、前記第1面と重なりつつ前記第1面を押圧する位置に形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載のスローアウェイ式回転工具。 - 前記切削ヘッドの先端側の外周に形成される第2受け部と、
前記内周壁の先端側に連設されると共に、軸心に向かって傾斜する第2面とを備え、
その第2面は、前記ボデー及び前記切削ヘッドを軸心回りに相対回転させて前記突条部が前記立設部の内周壁間に挟持されると、前記第2受け部と重なる位置に形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれかに記載のスローアウェイ式回転工具。
