Abstract
Description
すなわち、本発明は、
(1)実質的に一方向に配向した空孔を有する人工骨であって、前記空孔の配向方向を示す標識を有することを特徴とする人工骨、
(2)標識が、当該人工骨表面に付された線記号、突起又は窪みからなる、上記(1)記載の人工骨、及び
(3)標識が、当該人工骨の一部または全体の立体形状によるものである、上記(1)記載の人工骨に関する。

図1は、本発明に係る人工骨の一例を模式的に示した斜視図である。
本発明の人工骨は、当該一例の人工骨10に示されるように、材料(人工骨本体)1の内部に実質的に一方向に配向した空孔2を有する。ここで、「一方向に配向した空孔を有する」とは、一軸方向に伸びた空孔が存在してそのような空孔の長軸が一方向に揃っていることをいう。より具体的には、材料(人工骨本体)中に存在する一軸方向に伸びた空孔のうちの例えば半数以上、好ましくは80%以上、さらに好ましくは90%以上の空孔の長軸が一方向に揃っていることである。なお、「実質的に一方向」とは、空孔の長軸が交差角度30°以内で揃っていることである。
〔人工骨の製造例A〕
底面のない内径16mm、高さ20mmの塩化ビニル樹脂製の円筒状の容器を直接直径120mmの円盤状冷却板に10個配置し、この容器の中に蒸留水中にハイドロキシアパタイト(17重量%)および添加剤であるゼラチン(4重量%)を分散・溶解させたスラリーをそれぞれの容器に1g充填した。冷凍装置により冷却板を冷却することにより、0.015ml/分の凍結速度でスラリーを冷却し、霜柱状の氷をスラリー中に生成させた。このようにして得られた凍結体を真空中で昇華乾燥させた後、その乾燥体を1200℃にて焼結することで、一方向に配向した空孔を持つ人工骨を得た。
蒸留水中にハイドロキシアパタイト(21.8重量%)および添加剤であるゼラチン(4.8重量%)を分散・溶解させたスラリーを、内径約16mmの容量15mlのグライナー社(ドイツ)製遠心チューブ(ポリプロピレン樹脂製)の容器に10g充填した。その容器を、−20℃に冷却したエチルアルコール浴に20mm/hの速度で浸漬し、霜柱状の氷をスラリー中に形成させた。このようにして得られた凍結体を真空中で昇華乾燥させた後、その乾燥体を1200℃にて焼結することで、一方向に配向した空孔を持つ人工骨を得た。
製造例AおよびBで得られた人工骨をローランド社製切削機、MODELA Pro MDX−650を用いて円柱状(φ6mm、高さ8mm)に切削した。その後、エチルアルコールに溶解したβ−カロテン(0.1%)を色素として用い、図1に示すような、線記号(線幅0.3mm、長さ8mm)を付し、線記号を付した人工骨を得た。
製造例AおよびBで得られた上記の人工骨をローランド社製切削機、MODELA Pro MDX−650を用いて円柱状(φ6mm、高さ8mm)に切削すると同時に、図2に示すように、円柱側面に底面から上面まで突起(略直方体、縦1mm×横1mm、高さ8mm)を形成し、突起を付した人工骨を得た。
製造例AおよびBで得られた上記の人工骨をローランド社製切削機、MODELA Pro MDX−650を用いて円柱状(φ6mm、高さ8mm)に切削した。さらに、図3に示すように、円柱側面に底面から上面まで窪み(断面がV字状の溝、開口部幅1mm、深さ1mm、高さ8mm)を形成し、窪みを付した人工骨を得た。
製造例AおよびBで得られた上記の人工骨をローランド社製切削機、MODELA Pro MDX−650を用いて円柱状(φ6mm、高さ8mm)に切削すると同時に、図2に示すような円柱側面に底面から上面まで突起(略直方体、縦1mm×横1mm、高さ8mm)を形成した。さらに、この人工骨の突起の表面にエチルアルコールに溶解したβ−カロテン(0.1%)を色素として用い、図1に示すような線記号(線幅0.3mm、長さ8mm)を付し、突起及び線記号を付した人工骨を得た。
製造例AおよびBで得られた上記の人工骨を、ローランド社製切削機、MODELA Pro MDX−650を用いて、空孔の配向方向(空孔の長軸)とその軸心が略平行となる直円錐状(底面の直径6mm、高さ8mm)に切削した人工骨を得た。
本出願は日本で出願された特願2007−237051を基礎としており、その内容は本明細書に全て包含される。
Claims (3)
- 実質的に一方向に配向した空孔を有する人工骨であって、前記空孔の配向方向を示す標識を有することを特徴とする人工骨。
- 標識が、当該人工骨表面に付された線記号、突起又は窪みからなる、請求項1記載の人工骨。
- 標識が、当該人工骨の一部または全体の立体形状によるものである、請求項1記載の人工骨。
