Abstract
PURPOSE:To efficiently utilize gas contg. oxygen for treatment and to considerably reduce the amt. of the gas fed by arranging pieces of hollow yarn made of a gas permeable membrane in a treating tank and by blowing the gas contg. oxygen into the tank through the hollow yarn under pressure. CONSTITUTION:Water to be treated is circulated by an upward flow in a treating tank 1 contg. a microorganism fixing carrier and gas contg. oxygen is fed by an aerating means 4 to treat the water. The means 4 is composed of many pieces of hollow yarn 2 made of a gas permeable membrane and a gas feeding means 3 by which the gas contg. oxygen is blow into the tank 1 through the yarn 2 under pressure. The gas contg. oxygen can be efficiently utilized for treatment and the amt. of the gas fed can be considerably reduced.
