Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance the treatment efficiency, by charging pressurized water into the treating reaction tank, in the activated sludge treatment method of waste water.
CONSTITUTION: Pressurized water 2 pressurized at about 1 to 5 atm. is forced into the raw water to be treated 1 which is charged into the treating reaction tank through a check valve 3. The raw water is supplied into the tank along the arrow from a diffusion port 7 in an obstacle 4 provided in the tank. In the tank, the dissolved air in the pressurized water becomes bubbles and released, so that oxygen may be efficiently fed to microorganisms. The ratio of the raw water to be treated to the pressurized water should be preferable 10:3, and for the water used as pressurized water, part of the treated water may be used.
