Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent image trailing phenomenon and to form good images same as an initial image stably for a long period by incorporating a fine inorganic powder having a blowoff charge quantity of +50--50muC/g, a hydrophobicness degree of >=50, and a particle diameter of 0.05-5.0mum. CONSTITUTION:The fine inorganic powder having a blowoff charge quantity of +50--50muC/g, a hydrophobicness degree of >=50, and a particle diameter of 0.05-5.0mum is contained in the developer. At the time of developing, said powder attaches to the whole surface of a nonimage part and prevents direct contact between an image forming member and a transfer paper at the time of transfer, thus permitting the ill effect of the environment on the image forming member to be reduced, transfer of talc and the like from the transfer paper to the surface of the said member to be prevented, accordingly, the image trailing phenomenon to be effectively prevented, and good images same as the initial image to be provided for a long period. In the electrophotographic process using this developer illustrated in the figure, the electrostatic latent image A composed of printed parts (a) and nonprinted parts (b) is formed on the surface of the photosensitive body 1 by an electrically charging means 4 and an exposing means 5.
