Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent distortion of the screen or focus deterioration by applying an addition voltage corresponding to an addition rate to a multiple multiplication circuit so as to contrive to stabilize a high output voltage. CONSTITUTION:When a high voltage current IH flowing to an anode of a cathode ray tube reaches a maximum specified value in the operating range, a high output voltage EH is decreased but since a voltage eH of a detectionsignal of an error amplifier circuit 23 is nearly equal to a reference voltage es, a transistor (TR) 31 is cut off and the added voltage eb generated by an addition voltage generating circuit 22 appears as it is at the emitter of a control TR 32. As a result, a voltage being a desired multiple of the addition voltage is added to the high output voltage EH via a multiple multiplication circuit 3 to compensate the reduction in the high output voltage EH.
