CONSTITUTION: High-luminance Braun tube 10 is constituted by high voltage circuit system 20 which supplies a high voltage to anode electrode 11 as a peripheral circuit, deflection circuit system 30, focusing circuit system 40, video circuit system 50 and outline correction circuit system 60. Then, focusing circuit system 40 is constituted by power source circuit 41, current level detector circuit 42 which make a voltage detector circuit, which detects that the output of video circuit system 50 has reached a point corresponding to the level where saturation characteristic starts to be shown on the electron beam-optical output characteristic, available, and correction circuit 43 which corrects the focusing voltage waveform in response to the output of outline correction circuit system 60.
